The Bill allows the Commission to suspend the trustees of an association and appoint an interim manager in their stead, in the event of a misconduct or mismanagement; or fraud in the administration of the association by the trustees; or where it is necessary to do so in certain instances. The suspension shall be by order of court upon the petition of the commission or one-fifth of the members of the association.

The functions to be discharged by the interim manager or managers shall be as ordered by the court under the supervision of the Commission (section 831).

The suspension of trustees and the subsequent appointment of an interim manager in the administration of an incorporated trustee is a welcomed development aimed at ensuring proper administration of Incorporated Trustees.

Notes:

-The law is not targeted at any religious organisation church or mosque.
-Incorporated trustees or associations also include political parties, schools,NGOs, Old boys association etc.
-Stealing of public funds is not spiritual, but a criminal offence against the state

Don't mind those "Can of worms". Everyday, their pastors are commiting different atrocities: performing rituals, impregnating underage girls, sleeping with married women, doing 419 to their members etc.. But CAN will keep mute.. Anyway, I know this law will affect their church businesses that's why they are complaining..

Oga lawyer just leave CHURCHES out of your CAMA madness.

We know that the target are churches across the country whose Bank account are heavily Loaded with God's Money and Bounties kept in trust for the expansion of his kingdom on earth.

Churches are above the human laws but Christians are not above the laws.

Some times I wonder the level of literacy and integrity of C.A.N executives.

Hiding under the banner of religion to promote their fraudulent tendencies.

What a shame.
