Socialism, Capitalism, Mixed economy etc are all Ideologies. Each has its good and bad sides so it all depends on the system of govt the society practices and the geographical size as well among many other factors.

China and Russia were once pure Communist States and they rivaled the United States been the head of Capitalism.

Mao saw the need for socialism in the system,together with the people they overthrew Chaing kai-shiank and his troops(Who retreated into the Island known as Taiwan today). It worked for China and Russia doesnt mean it will work for Nigeria.
