Good morning Nairalanders please I need your advice and opinion . My car Toyotas Camry 010 is tilting to the right once I take my hands off the steering I was told it was alignment I have done it but still the problem persist. I was told buy another person that is vast in cars that it could be the suspension of the car please I need your advice and recommendations.

Replacement gear box for your car is expensive. Better leave it alone. Gear oil is not like normal engine oil that you change frequently.

Make you no go use your hand spoil your car.

As for your power steering oil, just see a good mechanic. Don't be afraid of appearing like novice. We all were once novices. Yes, the mechanic fit chop you if they are dishonest. But in all, you will learn with time.

You may watch YouTube videos to understand why your oil may be leaking. This helps.

I had similar issue with my power steering pump. It kept shorting oil . The steering will get stiff and hard and would hear a whining noise. I use to carry a small bottle of fluid with me at the time. Every time the steering gets stiff I will than top the fluid.. It was tedious after a while....

So I had a mechanic checked it out. Thank God it was a steering hose that was leaking. So steering hose was replaced and problem solved... Have your mechanic check or trace the leaks.. Have them check the hose. Have them do all these things before concluding that steering pump needs replacement.



For your transmission please don't mess with it . If your transmission fluid is still pinkish in color leave it. If it is dark change it with the recommended fluid. Transmission are very delicate , you dont want to mess with it unless it needs changing

Good morning sir I noticed this sign on my dashboard I was told that it is either tire pressure or washer fluid I have gauged all the tire to 45psi but still that sign is still there . There are other signs as well but once the engine is running it just left with just this one . Please I need your advice thr car is a Toyota Camry 010

Good evening Nairalanders I noticed after I changed my engine oil my car steering became a litttle stiff and a friend said I should check the power steering oil lo and behold the oil has gone down drastically . You bought tokunbo or naija used? Meanwhile, the recommended engine oil is supposed to be in the car manual. Some of these car uses 5w-20 either mobile 1 full synthetic or other full synthetic oil

I paid 3.5 million naira for the car after which he told me I’m going to give him 100k for the car that his hotel bills and the amount he used to bring the car is 40k and plus the paint job they will do on the car everything is inside the 100k and now he is now telling me the 8k for the car and engine wash is not included in the 100k I have paid him 90k already but I feel he is trying to cheat me because it is my first time and I don’t really have experience. Good day Nairalanders just got my big baby at last . She is a beast . Now I want candid advice I have intentions of fixing Abuja plate number but I was told there is no special importance attached . I see a lot of young guys use it here in Benin . Some say police respect Abuja plate numbers more .
Nairalanders what’s your take on it and if I should fix Benin plate number can I travel far and wide with it without police harassment .

a v6 equipped engine on regular street legal cars is a no no for E-hailing and cab\taxi. Buy the 4cylinder though a compact sedan is better than the camry

The average person can't detect this unless you run a VIN check. I bought a car recently and before I finally purchased one I liked, I spent close to 100k on various checks. Inspected about 3 or 4 cars. Ran VIN checks, Customs duty checks, Got mechs to scan and undertake pre-purchase inspection.
