Truly Nigeria is blessed.

And Anambra has been blessing and will emerge greater when leadership is in the right hands. The State is small but mighty.

Anambra East and Anambra West are the food basket of the state. I remember flying bikes and juggling buses to complete my survey in the aforementioned areas. I worked on financial Analysis of Rice Farmers in the state. And I can categorically tell you, that those farmers are credit worthy than our white collar workers. Having a DER of 0.33. smiley smiley

The pictures made a great justice. OP, you didnt capture the Poultry Farm with over 20,000Capacities that is owned by Izuchukwu abi Ekenedirichukwu. It's in those axis right before Anaku. smiley smiley

PS: I am an Agribusiness Specialist. You can contact me for all works in Agriculture. I deliver in realistic figures and achievable results. smiley

Me and my friend decided to visit agro areas in Anambra state, our quest took us to Omor, Anaku and Igbariam, we were trying to cover many areas but there was limited time, we left Awka 12:23 pm got to Omor around 2:59pm, these areas Omor, Umumbo and Anaku, these areas are known for Agriculture especially commercial rice farming, there are large scale of rice farms in these towns, hardly to see residential buildings there, these agro areas host two gaint mills Josan rice mill and Coscharies rice mill with numerous small mills, surrounding by Omambal rive

Were you the one that did the video?

Africa and Nigeria in general is poor and hungry because of lack of leadership direction and laziness of our people. Manna does not fall from heaven in this modern time. You must WORK for manna to fall!

In terms of being lazy, am not sure u are referring to Nigerians. Nigerians aren't lazy. Maybe u live on another planet

This is a welcome development, this is what the Rich people are supposed to be investing part of their wealth on, instead of establishing Private Universities....

Imagine a country with 36 states having close to 100 private Universities...

Israel In a DESERT and SMALLER than the south east produces 70% of their domestic food and exports an estimated $3 Billion annual food and cash crops to EU alone.

Let me repeat this again. Israel is in a DESERT.

Ebonyi State alone can produce all the food needed in the South east and South South with modern Agricultural practices.

Anambra which is the second most densely populated state after Lagos still has so much unused land for agriculture.

I know those who have sense can see where I am going with this.
I know where you are coming from my brother.

Every state should have this... Any state not toeing the path of agriculture and industrialization needs to be queried, and put to work.

Your point??! No state created its weather/climate or topography!!!... At the very least, they are making the best of what they have. This calls for encouragement and applause, not what you are trying to do.

Please, let's be guided!!! Such threads should not be for such childishness!!! Thank you!

In another 8 years, only God can tell wat else they would have achieved in Anambra State.

As a seminarian in onitsha few years back, I did my apostolic work in this area, Umumbo precisely. It’s one of my top life experience. I was inspired by the tenacity of people leaving there plus the smile that never leaves their face. They all have two homes, one in the farm and one in the village, they travel to the farm sometimes and spend months, I even heard they established small markets on the farm routes because of how massive the farms were.

A little bit of nostalgia..... not so bad

Good day. I can see you said seminarian. I'd like to join the seminary but currently I attend my parents church and I still live with them.

I have a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and I don't know if that'll will reduced the time I'll spend in the seminary.

Interesting and inspiring thread.......still in shock it made front page! Imported rice should be completely banned before we can get serious about self sufficiency. I noticed roads but no canals...... do the crops depend on rainfall? If yes.... then we are in the stone ages. Hopefully... they embark on a massive drainage and irrigation project to increase crop production.
The mill is capable of removing stones from rice.... can someone please explain how stones get in the rice?

Nigerians are never lazy. (unless u have a particular part in mind or something) Provide them the opportunity and see millions battle to grab it. We just don't have sensible leaders. Many of them has no positive vision for this country.
