This has generated reactions from the Christians Association of Nigeria, CAN, respected clerics Enoch Adeboye of RCCG, David Oyedepo of Living Faith and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, who claimed Buhari wants to use new law to silence Christians in Nigeria.

Reacting to the development, Pastor Moses Alu said the new law is now a new thing because it exists in other countries where some Nigerian pastors have their churches.

He said the law is a welcome development as it would check the excesses of some church leaders.

He made this know in a video obtained by NIGERIA DEFENDER while addressing his congregation.

He said, “The first person to react to this new law is Bishop Oyedepo. But let me tell you this, there is nothing like anti-Christ agenda in the new law. I want you people to know that there is nothing like the government trying to cage the church.

“The same regulation is in other countries where these same pastors have their branches. The reason they are making noise is because it is going to check the excesses of church leaders in Nigeria. That law has nothing to do with your worship.

“There is nothing like trustees in the bible. If the same government gave your certificate, why can't they regulate your activities? Preachers are called to be teachers and not trustees.”

I'm sure the Pharisees of Jesus days would have hated this law and fought against it tooth and nail as their likes are doing today if they were here, because their ways were corrupted so they had something to hide.

But Jesus the Master wouldn't have had much issues with it since His hands were clean. Hence He paid taxes for Himself and for Peter (the leader of His church) to the government of His day despite not agreeing with the idea, so what's all the fuss about?
