Slowly and steadily they are stripping Nigerians off the freedoms they had before the unfortunate coming to power of their evil party from hell. Dammit we were just fine as we where why do they need to muzzle us if they are doing the right things? Only dictators and evil doers hate the light of truth shining upon them cos their soul radiates nothing but darkness.

Only in an unregulated lawless Nigerian Social Media space would a lady wake up and accuse a stranger of rape on her Twitter page, or a scammer clone your account and steal your pictures and start impersonating you to use your profile to beg people for money and scam people

Lets be realistic here, there is nothing like social media bills in democratic system of government because by so doing the government is systematically taking away the freedom of speech from the masses such government is refers to as dictatorship, a good government learn from his critics and put in his best to work, instead of trying to silent voice of the people by setting up social media bills, I have observed every move of this current government they try to venture into everything we the common enjoy as a citizen in this country also trying to silent our voice when we speak out.

When asked whether the Senate’s plan had always been to pass the bill without considering public opinion, the source told SaharaReporters, “I am not sure about that, but they believe that Nigerians will accept it and move on the same way they have accepted the Broadcasting Code.”

My Verdict: These guys know that the worst Nigerians will always do is to complain for a maximum of 2days, once another national issue pops up, the previous will fade away and that's it. For e.g does anybody still talk about fuel increment again? Technically we have accepted it.
That's just the ugly reality. When I see how citizens protest against leaders in other countries and finally get their desire, I weep for Nigeria. We easily forget and we don't rise against the government,as if we are jazzed in this country. One day, revolution will solve it all.

Misinformation, social media fraud, fake news, inciteful social media post this are current problems the world is dealing with, having a legal framework on prosecuting crimes relating to online crimes is a good move

.

We already have laws against those, you can only fight lies with the truth, where things are unclear whoever controls the media now has the power to decide what the truth is.

Now any news critical of the government will be branded as fake so they can fine and imprison people. With a society run my rabid Islamists it's not too unrealistic that anyone criticising their crazy laws will be branded as a peddler of fake news and prosecuted accordingly.

The bill isn't regulating criticism against Government, you are free to use any means to criticize a Government including TV, Newspaper and Social Media

Regulations of Social Media deal with abuse of the social media against citizens to citizens,

I am really concerned I don't give a f about the country anymore, now I am getting concerned for us as people, our stupidity and hypocrisy is getting worse by the day

Last time ordinary paster krest case, a case that most of those people criticising him or her were not witness to, something that happened in maybe 90s or early 2000 some idiots organised people to stage protest

Black lives matters, we joined them and police are killing people everyday like we operate a slaughter house as a country, no protest just rants

Where are those useless hungry lawyers who gathered people to protest krest case last time?.

Now this case that might send many of us to jail unnecessary and silence us finally till Nigeria turns Pakistan is being taken as something that is not serious

We may be under a particular curse of stupidly if a proper check is done
