Somehow dubious people have turned begging to a career. These "career-beggers" devise every kind of phoney stories and emotional posts to scam kindhearted Nairalanders.

I will still maintain my stance... No moniker opened in 2020 is genuinely in need of help. These are alternates not worth the slightest attention. If they were truly genuine, they would open the topic with their main account.

The highest number of fake female handles were opened in 2019/2020. When a male with an older NL account seek for help, they won't help the moniker but once they see a Moniker with a pink "f" attached to it, they start mentioning and quoting the fake moniker. Well a fool and his money is soon parted.

most of those 2020 "f" Monikers with pictures at dp are 100% scam.

Seun needs to do something about it fast. I stopped responding to requests because you cannot tell which ones are genuine.

I just found out another famous beggar just got a new moniker and created series of threads yesterday. People have no shame anymore. And yes we all should stop responding to monikers in the 2019-2020 creation period as over 95% of them are scammers.

once you see beyond emotions, it's easier to identify all the fake posts and Monikers.
All those 2020 Monikers claiming to have Just joined Nairaland are scammers.

When you join Nairaland it takes a long time to learn how to post on Nairaland

But this is exactly my point. Year of account opening doesn't invalidate a person's need. If you're driven to give a beggar, do it regardless of the age of the account.
