How much did City pay as transfer fee for him since thats not for Barca?
Thar 700m is a clause, if Messi breaches his contract with Barca bro.

Please research well, before you argue.

All these ignoramus self. Mtcheew. You research but missed out important info?

City hasn't paid any transfer fee yet. The money you see is for Messi alone. Messi believes he's no longer contacted to Barca, hence no transfer feelings.

It actually annoys that medics and other professionals can't even dream of this amount. Aside business, I think foot ball is the most profitable career path. Who else agrees?

You are making unfair comparisons.

You are looking at the most elite footballers' earnings and comparing with the mean or median medical professionals.

Elite medical professionals like Gilead sciences' John C martin, Brain Powers' Herbert Wertheim or even Patrick Soon -Shiong are better comparisons. And they are well richer than all footballers.

My point? The wealthiest (Elite) medical professionals/Businessmen are richer than the richest Elite footballers. Though at that point, lifestyles aren't any different.

Now the most important: What's the average person's chances of being a Messi or CR7 vs a Successful businessman/medical professional? You guess.

Both are hard but it's certainly harder to be an ultra elite footballer with few corners to cut. It's either you are or aren't.

Most successful business people cut corners in my opinion - and not just taxes.

Marca is a Madrid Sponsored sponsored paper

Real madrid led government has destroyed bacelona dominion in Spain
They make laws that attack La masia Academy ..that often produced players with high talent
If barca want to buy young players now to their academy there is a limit now
Barca president is handicapped now because he would have fought la liga to allow them make la masia Academy work again. But no he was busy adding presure to messi

So As Marca will not be happy to report messi moves because they knew that Spanish la liga has allowed themselves to be influenced to hurt barca.
It's good for barca to.fight their fight and not overuse messi

According to Record Sport, Messi has agreed financial terms on a five-year contract worth a total of €700m (£623m).

The incredible deal would make the Argentine the highest-paid individual in the history of the sport.

It equates to £14,200 an hour, £341,000 per day, £2.4m every week and a whopping £10.4m per month.

Messi is set to spend three seasons at the Etihad before joining City Football Group's (CFG) Major League Soccer side New York City FC for two years.

It is also reported that Messi could be offered an equity stake in CFG as part of his package.
