Yeah, I'm not clicking that American nonsense.

Capoeira is a fusion martial art created by slaves in Brazil. They combined elements of different African fighting styles and devised a deceptive art that looked like dancing when practicing, but was actually designed to kill someone with one blow. It was their response to going against someone with a gun.

It's a great style because you can attack effectively from different angles, positions, and etc. It uses foot, knee, elbow, head, and hand strikes despite being mostly associated with kicks and flips. It also employs a variety of moves. Most of what people commonly see is just some of capoeira.
