The wife of Abia state Governor Deaconess Nkechi Ikpeazu has been described as the source and principal motivator of the sweet atmosphere of peace presently pervading in the state, IgbereTV reports.

Making the assertion in a birthday message made available to journalists in Umuahia, the Chancellor of Gregory University Uturu Prof Gregory Ibe stated that the first lady's peaceful disposition and tranquil approach in conducting private and public business has impacted positively on the Governor's approach to the act of governance.

According to Prof Ibe, "Credit should be given to the first lady for encouraging the creation of an enabling peaceful and harmonious environment in Abia, which has in turn precipitated the ultimate collapse of party differences among prominent political actors thereby stimulating the spirit of cooperation and oneness among Abians. It is therefore not surprising that Abia currently enjoys the status of one of the most peaceful states in the nation that is free from voilence."

He therefore prayed God to continue to imbue Deaconess Ikpeazu with vision, focus, strength and determination, enabling her to deepen and sustain her supportive role to the Governor.

In his words, "While rejoicing with you in celebration of another anniversary of your birth,it is my prayer that the good Lord will grant you vision, focus, strength and determination, even as you strive daily playing the highly demanding roles of a good mother to Abia and supportive wife to our dear Governor. Happy birthday to the peace loving mother of Abia state".
