Omooba77: Your references are correct but not in all cases does he use adversities. The issue is that, the Bible says, he knew us even before we were formed, he predetermined your dna, so he knows the best route for you to get up there. That’s why if you decide to help Him and cut corners to get there which is out of His plan for you, you may not be able to sustain it, also you may not reach the height He actually has in mind for you. 2 Likes |

You cannot serve two masters...money and God so sometimes he will take some away to show you that you are blessed in many ways despite your lack however when he is Going to bless you for serving him without Changing he will bless you more than you expected Please it includes how you treat the people who helped you in your storm and even those you helped in their storm. Lot lost it all but gained more for his faithfulness. Be humble be thoughtful be wise |

GOD is a merciful GOD. It is never the nature of GOD to afflict people with problems; not to talk of using affliction as a means to lift you up. James 1:14-15......When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when by his own evil desires he is lured away and enticed. Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.… Probverb 10:22The blessing of the LORD enriches, and He adds no sorrow to it Therefore, it is an erroneous belief to assume GOD puts HIS children through tribulation for whatever reason Matthew 7: 9-11 Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him |

Omooba77:It's the same reason why 1. To build strength, one has to strain the muscles in exercising 2. To build stamina, on has to strain the lungs and heart in exercising 3. To build memory, one has to strain the brain in recalling of information 4. To build skills, one invest time in practice. So also in Spiritual things, FAITH doesn't exist until your BELIEF is QUESTIONED. The earth is a school. Trials are exams we do to earn our promotion to a higher class Note: God Himself does NOT tempt people. He allows the adversary to set his questions for you! 1 Like |

Buliwyf: The Bible was written to make the characters look nice right? What will you say about David who killed a man and took his wife but was still king? What about instructing the Israelites to kill the occupants of a land, or even Moses that got angry and refused to do as he was directed? See, only a person who wants to deceive people will show his gentle side, but the few examples given here are not like that. Secondly, talking about the stories in the Bible being the last thing that you will listen to, it is your will and choice. But remember this story. A man (Isaiah) lived hundreds of years before Christ. And he prophesied (that is if you believe in prophesy) that the city of Babylon will never being inhabited peacefully forever. However Sadam Hussein tried to build a palace there; the US army also tried their luck. If you want to know the outcome of these trials against what was prophesied in an old book that you think is filled with fables, why not take a tour 50km from Bangladesh and visit that city. |

OtemAtum:In Christianity, death is NOT a sign of failure. Death is just a calling back home. Isn't Jesus's death not a victory for Christians? Every human being goes through life's challenges. When those challenges conflicts directly with what a Christian know as God's will for him, such is called a TRIAL! |

RussellUba: 3 These are the nations the Lord "left to test" all those Israelites who had not experienced any of the wars in Canaan 2 (he did this only to teach warfare to the descendants of the Israelites who had not had previous battle experience): LEFT to test not MADE or CAUSE TO TEST. Left in that context can mean - Without external force; occurring on it's own, without intervention. |

Buliwyf: But the natural [unbelieving] man does not accept the things [the teachings and revelations] of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness [absurd and illogical] to him; and he is incapable of understanding them, because they are spiritually discerned and appreciated, [and he is unqualified to judge spiritual matters]. But the spiritual man [the spiritually mature Christian] judges all things [questions, examines and applies what the Holy Spirit reveals], yet is himself judged by no one [the unbeliever cannot judge and understand the believer’s spiritual nature]. For who has known the mind and purposes of the Lord , so as to instruct H im ? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes]. 1 Corinthians 2:14-16 AMP |

RussellUba:REALLY!!?? David was punished for for the adultery and murder 2Sam 12:10: "Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife." 2Sam 12:12: "Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbor, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun." "For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun." 2Sam 12:14: "Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die." Check out the punishment of Moses: Num 20:12: "And the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, Because you believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them." Why did God ordered the destruction of the Canaanites? Because of the abominable acts that has become their culture. Deu 20:17-18: "But you shall utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the LORD your God has commanded you: That they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done to their gods; so should you sin against the LORD your God."
