Most people have many things which they treasure more than humans. Some value their cars, wealths, possessions and other things. There are some group of people who value their pets, especially dogs and cats.

A man by name Gene Hill narrated the story of how he loved his dog so dearly that he gave it a flamboyant burial even at death.

His story; “Nobody can fully understand the meaning of love unless he’s owned a dog. A dog can show you more honest affection with a flick of his tail than a man can gather through a lifetime of handshakes.”
I knew Judas’ time was coming. I knew the grief would hit hard. Being a funeral director, I understand the importance of grieving and healing through ceremonial rituals. It’s why I decided to put together something so meaningful to honor Judas.

I wanted to show other pet owners that it’s ok to honor and grieve the loss of your pet. I know that this is new to many of you. I know that it’s odd. It’s provided me comfort and I hope that it provides comfort to many knowing what pet loss feels like. I’m grateful for the outpouring support in the last couple of months. All of your comments, your photos, your texts have all meant so much. Many thanks to those who were able to attend Judas’ service.

I want to thank everyone who helped me take care of and honor Judas. First of all many thanks to the Christina Bove Ruskin and her vet techs Miakoda Winger and Kelsie Fulton and the entire staff at VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital for taking care of Judas in his final months. Animal Care Center of Aurora for taking care of Judas for many years up until his heart condition diagnosis. Caring Pathways of the Denver Metro Area for helping Judas stay comfortable during his final moments. A huge thank you to Sean & Sandra Abbott for taking on the task of embalming Judas. He looked so peaceful and at rest. A big thank you to Cherokee Child Caskets for providing such a beautiful casket for Judas. Ben Martin, the celebrant who put on a beautiful service. Michael Lancaster who’s bag pipes brought the perfect tone to the ceremony. Banisters Flowers for providing such stunning floral arrangements. Many thanks to Richard Dalton-McPherson and Sean at City-Wide Protection, Inc. Traffic Safety Escorts for the beautiful procession and getting us to the cemetery safe. DVB Transportation and Donna L. Must have been a loyal dog and partner..But they should have gone to dog cemetery instead of human.. it will look odd for the dog to resurrect with human on resurrection day instead of it's fellow dogs

Indeed, some do.

Anyone who has raised/lived with a dog for a long time, then lost it to death, can understand this.
It's an excessive gesture though, but still understandable.
