But from indication Buhari wasn't really happy with Oshiomole to the extend he had to invite him and warn him in Aso rock with Oshiomole's desperation and confidence for power until few days to the election that Oshiomole's hope and confidence was scattered.

1. Buhari didn't really campaign for Ize-iyamu apart from the flag he gave to him in Abuja, he doesn't want what happened in Lagos State despite his plea to Tinubu to repeat itself again.

2. Lot of power brokers in the APC, especially Elrufai and fayemi doesn't like the tyrannical and autocratic attitude of Oshiomole that have turned the party to personal property.


3. The issue of Oshiomole and Gambari, leaked video threatening to arrest and lock some persons made Buhari to become lethargic towards Ize-iyamu's election.

4. Buhari's bad governance and many agitations, before the election lots of people are groining and agitation under killing, insecurity and recent hike in electricity tariff and petrol, adding Edo state election to it may stir up strives and revolution, PDP is the party that can cause outrage and reck unrepairable havock on the country's frail unity, the crack on the Nigeria unity is conspicuously visible and undeniable, allowing APC to use federal might and advantage have spell doom for Buhari's government.


5. The issue that broke the camel's back was the ban on some people by US and the threat by UK and EU, actually disabilized Buhari and APC leaders, they don't want to be ban from these countries.


6. Buhari used the election to assuage the international community, the ranging storm and bitterness if Nigerians, after the election, no one is complaining about fuel pump price or electricity bill hike.

as far as am concern, buhari promise Nigeria three things; security, anticorruption, better economy; we all see that none has been achieved so leave matters for matias and talk reality. Buhari did nothing for Obaseki rather it's Edolites that exercised their franchise.

Baba PMB cannot try federal might again in South South, because of his experience in Bayelsa in 2016, we lost many security operatives and soldiers in that election


Same Bayelsa2016election replay would have played out in Edo , if the Oba of Benin had not intervene by telling the president to allow a fair contest If they had tried it , even the president would have gotten many sanctions and it would been full war in Edo State . The Kogi, Kano and Osun incidents r still fresh in the int'l community.

It was in Southsouth I notice that election is a real war, our political thugs in the north are still learning.

Spare me those shits. Apc and Buhari led govt knew it was a game over after pulling so many stunts which kept failing.

They kept renting crowds at their rallies just for a make believe that people where on their side but Obaseki hired the service of a campaign consultants and deployed the ward to ward campaigns (192 wards were visited) a pattern apc later copied but could not effectively implement.

They also deployed billions and houses in choice locations both within and outside Benin to induce many of Obaseki appointees.

I learnt between 5m to 100m where set aside for each decampee couple with properties and juicy appointments promise of elected depending how relevant the appointees are to Obaseki. Nobody decamped from Obaseki camp for just reason all decamped for bigger offers. These even helped Obaseki in disguise as he was able to know his unloyal true enemies. Unlike in apc camp where many refused to decamp but where working against the party inside.

Then came the fuel price increase, US, UK, EU ban for political offenders. All eyes and pressure were already on bubu and apc led government (security operatives, INEC). I wonder what else apc and his gangs would have done in such situation.

Then they resulted to scientific rigging method which is vote buying, Obaseki team were smart enough to enlighten the people earlier before hand that they are coming to buy their votes that they collect the money and still secretly vote their conscience.

Then the Tinubu broadcast, oshiomole acts of desperation to save face then doing something he destroyed Anenih, Igbinedions etc. for ?

It became so glaring that the people where fed and felt were just being taken for a ride.

In my unit Apc was sharing 5-7k, money pdp could not match upto. They still lost to pdp 65 while apc garner 41 votes.

The Edo are very enlightened. They hate oppression and all.

Bubu though he deserves some praise for standing neutral, you can’t just say it would have been a work over a margin of about 85,000 votes?

Even if Buhari didn't go there to campaign, if Oshiomole have half of the power Amaechi wield during Rivers election, Obaseki will be sent packing
