The Anselm Ojezua led faction of the All Progressives Congress has congratulated Governor Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party on his re-election.

This comes after President Buhari and the National Caretaker Committee Chairman, Mai Buni had earlier congratulated the governor and his deputy.

In a statement signed by Anselm Ojezua, he dubbed the election has generally peaceful, orderly and transparent.

Also, He attributed the party’s loss at the polls to the crisis that forced Governor Obaseki out of the party after being disqualified by the APC screening committee.

“Our loss at the poll stems from the needless and avoidable crisis foisted on the Party by a selfish, insensitive, arrogant and irresponsible leadership.”

Ojezua urged the governor to be magnanimous in victory while he urged all who contested the election to sheath their swords and put it behind them.

“We must all close ranks with the Government in order to ensure a seamless transition to the final la of governance in the State without being subjected to any further needless distraction and rancour.”

The Col. Imuse led faction is yet to react to the election outcome but the Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu campaign Media Director, John Mayaki and the APC candidate had previous alleged the election was skewed and were critically looking at the results and would communicate their next move afterwards.
