CHRIST EMBASSY TO BUILD WORLD CLASS MEGA HOSPITAL

Ground Breaking Ceremony Kicks off Construction of LoveWorld Medical Center by Trauma Care International Foundation

Multi-specialty hospital to provide quality community healthcare, catering to trauma and emergency victims.

On Tuesday, September 22, 2020, the Trauma Care International Foundation (TCIF) kicked off the construction of a world class multi-specialty hospital; the LoveWorld Medical Center. The special ground breaking ceremony which took place at the LoveWorld Crusade Grounds, Aseese, along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Southwest, Nigeria, was well attended. The foundation embarked on this project in recognition of the need for adequate in-facility care for trauma and emergency victims, strategically siting the hospital along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway — the busiest interstate route in Nigeria — which is used by over 250,000 passenger car units on a daily basis.

Trauma injuries are among the top 10 leading causes of death globally, and they are usually associated with significant morbidities and subsequent disabilities in many of those affected. The Trauma Care International Foundation (TCIF); a member agency of the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International has through the years focused on improving trauma management and emergency response services in Nigeria. TCIF has achieved this through its numerous initiatives which promote enhanced pre-hospital care and first responder education, its voluntary blood donation programs and community based health projects.

Dignitaries led by the Chairman of the occasion, the highly esteemed Rev. Tom Amenkhienan, officially flag off the construction of the medical center.

Studies have shown that on the average, 12 people die every day from traumatic accidents in Lagos State. This explains the need for such a facility which will cater to the health needs of those in surrounding communities while providing a point of care to victims of trauma and emergencies along the expressway and across Lagos and Ogun States.

While delivering his speech, the Chairman of the auspicious event, the highly esteemed Rev. Tom Amenkhienan, (Member of the CEC), expressed profound gratitude to the man of God, Reverend (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome for the vision of the multi-specialty hospital. He said it is a laudable gesture as it will contribute significantly to the care of critically ill patients, and mark a new beginning in trauma and emergency care in Nigeria.

In her address at the special ceremony, the Chairman of the Trauma Care International Foundation, Dr. Deola Phillips, heralded the hospital as the LoveWorld Nation and the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International's significant contribution to nation building, and as part of a strategic plan to ensure definite improvements in the state of trauma care and emergency response in Nigeria.

Eminent dignitaries that graced this occasion
were some members of the Central Executive Council of the Loveworld Nation, members of the TCIF Board, the representative of the Ogun State
Commissioner for Health, Dr Kudus, Dr Adelakun,
Director Ogun State Ambulance and
Emergency Services ably representing the
Permanent Secretary Ogun State Ministry of
Health, the Baale of Aseese and executives of the Community Development Council, media
practitioners and other distinguished guests.

Christianity doing too much. Too relevant a religion from time immemorial.

Watch how this would come to life in six months. Something your government should have done long ago!

BTW to those asking if the hospital would be free or subsidized. Of course you don't expect a for profit private hospital to be cited on Ibadan expressway. It would definitely go broke as it would receive many emergency cases and little or no one to pay, therefore its not for profit project.

Apparently it's more accommodating. The living faith church set out to build a multi billion naira marine focused university wholly by its own funds a few years ago near Tinapa in Cross river.

The community insisted that they must be paid before development is permitted. The church is still slugging it out as they claim it is not in their policy to pay such.

I remember even nodogragra4me even attested to it.

At least that should reduce the forex we loose to medical tourism.

In a time Buhari is denying the commonman forex for basic things of life like education, food and drugs, I think anything that takes away frivolous forex use is a welcomed idea.

Imagine, and when things gets bad, we blame the white man for our woes. Even factories are not left out of the extortionist culture whereby JJC perceived to have money are asked to pay for what's their right.

Even state government have been known to try and extort churches for projects that can benefit the public.

There is nothing like common man affording it here. It depends on the way the project is set up. by the way, who subsidizes it?

Ideally the church should subsidize the treatment, otherwise it's not really a missionary hospital, but just another private profit making enterprise. That's one thing I love about the Catholic hospitals: excellent care for as little as they can charge, because it's mostly funded by donations.
