The judges were recommended by the NJC and the only input the president has is to forward the names to the senate. Also, all regions are meant to have equal representations at the supreme court. If there is vacancy in certain regions, only people from those regions will be nominated. Also, the NPC has commissioners from every state of the country (I believe) and when some leave, they have to be replaced by people from their state, just like INEC resident commissioners. But we as a nation need to move away from looking at appointments based on ethnicity and focus on merit. This president has made it obvious that he is not interested in fairness and equality so we have a long way to go.

You have a point but have you forgotten that politicians don't stand for their people, they stand for their pocket, their loyal party members and their best friends.



also, most senators representing senatorial zones in Nigeria were not elected by the people, take Rochas Okorocha for example, he stole the mandate through Buhari's supreme court just as Hope Uzodimma stole Imo governorship position through the same Buhari corrupt sharia supreme court.

Honestly most of the people who always default their mind to see bad from this govt will always perceive it. Don't speak on ignorance, the appointment of judges isn't done by executives but recommend by judicial council to the President and he further send it to Legislators for confirmation, the judges are appointed from each zone and any zone that is mentioned here is either the judicial council is replacing him/her for retirement reason or any other similar reason but the appointment is done equally to all zones. The same goes to NPC Commissioners, each state has equal number of Commissioners.
