It is a shame on the senate...it is called separation of powers for a reason...the senate is there to checkmate the excesses of the executive...these bunch are just money hungry, if you are not ready to protect the rights of the people, then you are useless.

Before any laws are made in sane societies, the people are always part of the process. When such laws become effective, the level of complaint is very low and when it's consequences are found to be against the majority of the people, the laws are repealed. This only happens in saner climes but unfortunately, Nigeria isn't a sane society, the law makers make laws without consulting the people. You sleep and wake up the next day and realise that a new law has been passed while u were asleep embarassed. The president wants us to be patient with such evil laws that the people weren't consulted before being passed embarassed

Please name a sane country that enact laws as you described after having an institution where each political area in that nation has at least one representative elected by the same people.

Representatives are to make the best decisions, the best actions, the best reaction on behalf of the people together with other representatives in the house. The are not to consult the people before enacting every law, but they can act on their displeasure and grievances

I know Buhari will not read this but be honest with yourself, can you rate your leadership of this country as effective and as one that has achieved it's stated goals? Are the laws you wish to create for the betterment of Nigerians or the people who think Nigeria is their personal playground?

He doesn't have to. I can rate him 7/10

He is not even close to being the best president, but as far as Nigeria is concern, he is better than his predecessors since 1999.

If not for the personal hatred many southerners have for him (coz of his tribe and religion), i think we are wise enough to understand that Nigeria's many years of problems can't be corrected within 8 years, not even 10 years.

Let's wait and see if our next president is going to be any better. I hope he is regardless of his party, tribe and religion
