The real life story is about a woman name withheld, who together with an insurance salesman planned and killed her husband who worked in a multinational company and made it look like an accident to collect on a life insurance policy.

What happened :

Because of his level of exposure and his type of work, he bought a 500,000,000 naira life insurance policy for himself and made his wife the beneficiary. Unknown to him, the wife became desperate, started having extra marital affair with the insurance salesman, who leaked the information to her.

The two love birds planned and killed the man so as to receive the payout.

In an investigation conducted by the police, it was revealed that the man died of suffocation and was subsequently dumped inside his car which was made to roll into a fuel-laden environment that burnt him beyond recognition.

In this case, the death has been established, will it be difficult for a life insurance beneficiary to receive a payout if they kill the policyholder.

Otherwise, who receives the payout against the will of the policyholder.

Nope. That's part of insurance fraud. You can't profit from your own illegality. Also, you will go to jail for murder, inter alia.

If the police can trace the foul play to the wife, she gets nothing but jail time otherwise she gets full benefit of the insurance.

Cases like this abound world over. Google Lyle and Erik Menendez just to scratch the tip.

the law enforcement couldn't establish a crime rather an accident judging by your narration. so the woman is hard to catch by the insurance company and will definitely get the money

Insurance do not make money from settling benefits, therefore, they must investigate to their satisfaction, which is why, if this case is true, the perpetrators would be caught.

Even when they settle the beneficiaries, investigation may still be ongoing and once complicity is discovered, then the perpetrators are in lake of fire trouble already.
