There re alot of celebs on ground that didnt make noise about the thursday protest.
While falz runtown, tiwa salvage organised protest in lekki, mr marcaroni too led protesters to lagos house of assembly in alausa ikeja that same day, they slept till the next day on the floor while falz and runtown went back home.
Runtown didnt lead protest in the whole of lagos, ogun, oyo, osun, abuja, Edo and delta states

Who led the 1966 coup?

You Igbos and your double mouth such that you’re never here or there.

I had to type a lengthy statement the other time when some of you knew opening threads upon thread telling your kinsmen not to protest #EndSars.

Below are some of your statements. Maybe you’ve all forgotten!

gidgiddy:
I have often said it here on Nairaland that SARS is a state sponsored terrorist organisation and I stand by it. They have killed and brutalised many innocent people.

However, I think that we Igbos should not participate in the Endsars protest despite the fact that many Igbos have been the innocent victims of SARS.

1) Endsars is pointless. The government of Buhari, which we all know is more for Northern interests, will not end SARS. The extra-judicial killings, torture and brutality of SARS is mainly in the South of Nigeria, it hardly affects the North. SARS cannot be ended without Buhari's permission and if it is not affecting the North, why would he end it?

2) Even if SARS is ended or scrapped, will that really change any thing? The Police, Army, Navy, DSS and other armed forces will still be brutalising and killing innocent Nigerians daily just like SARS. Whether you end SARS or not, other arms of the armed forces will still be doing exactly what SARS is doing. The protest should not have been Endsars, it should have been 'end all armed forces brutality and illegal killing'

3) Nigerians can be hypocrites. Many of those protesting Endsars are the same people who kept silent when different branches of the armed forces were shooting and killing unarmed IPOB protesters. Some of them are happy when they see unarmed innocent Biafran protesters killed, tortured, made to lay lay down in muddy water, dehumanised and detained. They dont care because its not their tribe or Region. They only remember that injustice is a bad thing when SARS is doing it to their people. They dont know that the injustice you support or ignore today may become the injustice that may be done to you tomorrow

Note: In 2013 SARS arrested over 30 unarmed non violent MASSOB members, murdered them and dumped their bodies in Ezu River, near the border between Anambra and Enugu states. Rather than condemn this national scandal, many none Igbos went on the thread below to thank SARS for wasting the lives of those young men. The same people are now carrying placards and shouting Endsars because SARS is now killing and brutalising them. They only remember injustice when it is them on the receiving end of SARS. Pure hypocrisy!

Below are your words!

IGBOSON1:
Nigerians are quite adept at leaving the substance and chasing shadows....treating the symptoms instead of the ailment.....pretending not to notice the elephant in the room!

Anyone seeing the deep shi’t Nigeria is facing today in all facets of national life and thinks going out on the streets to protest over sars, such a person is not yet ready for a genuine change in the fortunes of their people!

This is what I said then!

You guys are double mouthed and neither here or there.

If the Igbos states had been the one protesting enmasse, you would have been on Nairaland shouting brave and terming other people cowards.

Now you see your people are the real coward in this case and you had to come to Nairaland daily to find an excuse for your cowardice by terming under different headings.

Let me tell you something, even if you protest End SARS in Ebonyi, it won’t generate that much awareness it need than if it happens in the Southwest and that is the truth.

You are angry that people don’t protest with you or support you during Biafra, why should we protest alongside you or support you? Is Biafra not an Igbo agenda? Do you support the North when they implemented Shariah?

What about IPOB constant abuse on other tribes, do you want to reap love where you sow hate?

SARS is a menace bedeviling all the Southern states, if you guys like don’t protest. It won’t change anything because those people that can really shake the nation are already protesting and it is gaining traction.

The West and the SS is enough to pull the required publicity and I’m sure the Igbos residing in the West are also part of the protest like we’ve seen PSquare and Runtown. So that is covered.

Although I can see people protested in Imo state too.

You guys attribute too much importance to yourself while in reality your SE states are actually not that enough to effect any nationwide changes.

Check all the history of the protests that have shook this nation, majority of them happened in the West!

HAccord:
The OP is spot on. No protest is greater than the 'No' vote the East gave this administration in 2015 and 2019 while yorubas cheered Buhari as he rigged his way to power.

Now the administration is swallowing the SW because of their myopic electoral foolery yet the hypocrites expect the East to join them to protest on the street. Why should the East join you after all the insult you showered on them when they counselled you in 2015 about the electoral suicide you are bent on committing?

You were warned before and the East has given up on your foolishness. In 2023 the East is still very sure that you are bound to go to the polling units to commit another suicide because you yorubas hardly learn from history and then start crying again with placards, looking for other people to join your protesting jamboree. So why should they bother when you guys seem to only try to cure your headache by cutting off your own heads instead of buying the paracetamol the Igbo man is offering you?

We have long lost hope in Nigeria we are just watching you all thinking there's still a way to salvage your nation

Good, saves Igbos wasting their time on a useless protest that will achieve nothing in the long run as Police, Army, Navy and others carry on killing and brutalising innocent people even if SARS ends

It is not one person. I am quoting numerous Igbos on here that initially abused the Yorubas for protesting while they at the same time changed mouth and backtracked saying they love the protest again.

Although not all Igbos share that rubbish sentiment, but some of these Nairaland Igbos are just two-mouthed people without no iota of integrity.

Charleys:

Repeat this question three times.

How many people have SARS killed in the west?
How many people have SARS killed in the west?
How many people have SARS killed in the west?

If you don't have an answer then why are you protesting. SARS have killed more in the South South and south east than the west.

So what are you protesting for?
When the people who are being killed are not protesting.

Nigeria is not exempt from the law of sowing and reaping. The South East has the most checkpoints than any other geographical space in the world and we have been experiencing SARS killings for years without anybody caring. Now it has gone round and everybody understands how if feels

When almost 40 male bodies were found floating in a river in Anambra State years ago and we cried out that SARS was responsible , the same people talking about End Sars today were mocking us and called the victims MASSOB members who deserved it. Lets be careful about what the seeds we sow and make sure not to neglect a problem because we feel we are not affected. I don talk my own

Nna, you are 100% spot on. I understand that our thought process is quite different from that of those who criticize this post of yours for you were able to put down your points concisely.
Let me make it clearer for them may be they can get it. Igbos won't protest against SARS despite being among the biggest casualties of those state backed criminals because it will be akin to just attempting to clear just one symptom among many of a chronic illness. After SARS is shut down, what about the regular police, DSS and the notorious Nigerian Army who grossly violate the lives of our people? We're not foolish to protest for just one thing. We believe that when Nigeria is divided, then all state securities can be handled if they misbehave. Let it be known that we refused to join the protest because it is small compared to the bigger problem facing our people.
As for those calling us names and cowards, we don't care. We've faced the soldiers countless times therefore ordinary protest against SARs is nothing. We're waiting for destiny defining moments on a national level and not some protest from criminal mufty wearing SARS personnel.
This is our position.

You're certainly not Igbo so stop the impersonation. Ndigbo though affected by the SARS virus will not join the protest. We support you though. Talk about disintegrating the evil contraption and see us troop out en masse. Until then, you have our blessings as you protest. Also, remember not to cheer the blood sucking Nigerian soldiers again when they come to kill our protesting brothers.
Support the division of Nigeria. It is the most honourable thing.

Watch and see how this will be rebranded to secessionists protest and also see how peaceful the soldiers in the checkpoints at every 10meters in Igboland will be with them.
This is a case of kids succumbing to peer pressure and media influence. They joined this poorly planned protest because of trends they saw on Twitter. I pity their parents, South East is not like other parts of Nigeria where few soldiers are seen on the street. Down here every 10 meters is barricaded with machine guns by soldiers as if their is civil war, and those soldiers won't think twice before testing those machine guns on these kids

Bkayyy:

Not Awka just some misguided kids falling to media trends. They are looking for pictures for Twitter and Instagram

Bkayyy:

You kids shouldn't have fallen for social media pressure.East is not like other parts of Nigeria.
Unlike Lagos, Abuja and Ibadan those that will come to quell this your protest are full combat ready soldiers from their nearest outpost. I pity you all in advance.

End SARS Protest started in Benin on the 5th. Another one took place again on the 6th. I think Ughelli own was first before Edo. I don't know why people are making it look like a Lagos affair. Lagos started their protest late.

Delta/Edo started first
But the people in Ogbomosho won my heart also.

Nobody should mention Naira Marley abeg
