My opinion is,it is down right stupid!
If you have a right to protest I also have my right to go to me lawfully allowed place of work without hindrance.
I know many will say I am stupid for saying this, but again, was protest meant to punish innocent people or to call the authorities to a wrong been done?
But again,I have my right to support or reject any cause.

I personally and religiously feel that there are better ways to passing your points or agitation across without necessarily being a burden on others.

Your right. You even have the right to enjoy your food while your goat is giving birth in tethers.
Right.

Leemao. Make everybody feel the heat. Stay in traffic or join the protest. It's for a good cause after all. A few hours in traffic is a little sacrifice.

Protesters have started blocking roads in Lagos, leaving a lot of people stranded.

What is your opinion on this?

Do you think it is right that they are blocking roads?
In as much as it looks wrong and inconvenient, believe me it is so inconvenient but as long as it does not involve violence of any form or abuses it is right to get the message passed and clear.

In a sane society those people driving are suppose to join protest as long as the message is unbiased and for their own benefit as well.

Now what is the difference between you and SARs that break citizen heads to have their way?

Courageous clown it's illegal to block the street there's no debating that fact. I dont have an issue with civil disobedience. If the cops arrest you take the charge like a man do it again. You clowns reason like mumus thinking there's no consequences to breaking the law. Even in America you will naturally be charged for obstructing the roads .

You agree with civil disobedience.... but against blocking the streets....where does that take place?... in the bedroom? In America ... organizers apply for permit to hold a protest march... if given... protesters are escorted by Police. Below... yet another Black Lives Matter protest ... do you really believe it's legal?

Uncle, thank you for doing your part but allow us to do our part as well.
At least you can see that our method is generating more traction than your open letter.
The best part of it is that it is free of violence from our part.
So please, don’t try to water down what we are doing just because it is not your idea.
Thank you and remain blessed

If u don't block the road, how will u get the govt attention... The protest is working and u have to shut it if u don't want to join rather than come on a faceless forum and be Spitting trash online and be soaking garri without sugar offline

Nigerians are suffering and smiling... The same people condemning this protest are suffering from the government but they still prefer to love their Oppressors.

They are satisfied with insecurity, extortion, harrassment from police officers , unemployment, excessive salaries of senators but very minimum wage for public workers, etc...

Well if u are satisfied,i am not and I'll continue protesting for the Nigeria that I want

Bros, dont waste your time. The people blocking the roads will do worse than SARS if they had uniform. The African mind is fashioned towards selfish interest alone. The problem of Nigeria is Nigerians. Soon they will bedevil you because you think differently.

No it's illegal to block the roads. When they caught they should be arrested and charged accordingly. They can practice civil disobedience if they want but there's consequences. They don't own the street so they cant block it.

Coming from someone who resides abroad, it's shameful that you would rather support the government that has made life miserable for ordinary Nigerians instead of backing peaceful prosteters who are agitating for change. E no dey tire you say Nigeria's problems too much? If these problems get solved as a result of these protests, won't you be happy?

I swear... Can u hear the excuse most of them are given... They are all satisfied with the status quo of the country...

Later they'll be condemning the Nigeria govt when one absurd News come out...

Since the protest began, most state govt began to sit up.. some police officers have been arrested and one is being prosecuted... Will that happen if Nigeria youths didn't speak up and protest on the streets...

Those guys need to shut the fvck up cos right now, their opinion is not needed

some of you are something else,if you are not interested in joining and moving Nigeria forward please just sit down and allow people to do so.

If you know what those politicians in power do,you will carry placard too,I am even experiencing one right now with a greedy politician. You Nigerians don't know what you are losing......
Even if I know what they do I still think blocking the road for other commuters to go do their business is not the best alternative available.
Imagine somebody needs an emergency treatment or a living saving surgery and you think blocking the road is the best?

This copy and paste mentality is what is killing us.
Let's stop being too shirt sighted.
Quick fix won't solve our problems while avoiding the details.
I can pick many holes from these protest and why I see it as not the be all or end all of our problems.

Was returning home from work yesterday and was held up in traffic because the road was blocked at various junctions in Abuja. It was only the heavy downpour of rain that dispersed the protesters.

It's okay to protest against Police brutality but it's wrong to infringe on the rights of other law abiding citizens.

Imagine the agony of stranded parents trying to pick their kids from school but held up in traffic by protesters who blocked the roads.

If you had protested against SARS brutality many years ago, those protesters wouldn't obstruct the roads. They are doing it so their children won't experience same brutality and obstruct them the way they are doing.
