This is to all the protesting youths on the street and to the 'leaders' of #EndSARS

1. PROTECTION: Demand the setup of a Police/Uniformed Officers Complaints Desk in every local government.
This will not be in the police station.
That desk must have functional online ticketing system where people can log complaints and receive responses to their complaints. There should be a time-frame where complaints must be attended to. Once a police man or police unit is reported, failure to show up to defend themselves should lead to immediate suspension. So where SARS or SWAT or AntiCult, or AntiSideChick, whatever, as long as it is something related to uniform, there must be an INDEPENDENT complaints system.

2. FUNDS/EMPOWERMENT: Demand the establishment of a youth fund
Why should some benefit billions from Nigeria and others benefit nothing? There should be the establishment of a youth fund which works like a bank and benefits every youth in Nigeria who does not have an immediate family member as Politically Exposed Person. Forget about that looting social register nonsense or whatever without trackable beneficiaries.

How this works
In this case, once you are a registered youth with an ID, and duly registered phone line you can access the fund. So think how you open an account in a bank, and have an account number. The fund as established by law will have an amount you are entitled to annually for instance. This is NOT FREE money for shayo or to buy phone. No! The money you are entitled to can be requested for
a. Training. So you want to learn a skill? Choose where you want to learn the skill, then go ahead. The fund will pay for your fees.
b. You have learnt a skill but need equipment? Choose what equipment you need and the specs. The fund will send you to vendors to select. And they will pay.
c. You have a business and need to scale? No problem. The fund is at hand.
Those are just some examples. Take note that I am not talking millions here. No. Just some basic amount, maybe a maximum of N250,000. Minimum of N100,000. The senate can fix the amount from time to time.

c. EQUAL OPPORTUNITY: Demand the establishment of a no-relative employment law
The poor will keep getting poorer in Nigeria. Why? Because they do not have connections. So why not have a law where no government job goes to family members. This thing of sharing jobs in senate must stop!!!! This thing of selling slots is evil. It should be equal to murder!!!!!
So that must stop. Even cleaner jobs require knowing someone, begging someone, or sleeping with someone for the link. No more.

We use this opportunity wisely to setup a better tomorrow for Nigerian youths.

Please do you think these are worth demanding for?

NEC did number 1 today, but instead of Local Govt level, it was setup at the state level.
You call see the press release at https://www.nairaland.com/6184456/osinbajo-govs-take-charge-police#94979473
#EndSARS is getting results but this is something they should have done since 1960

Demand number 2 is being answered
But - we want this to be a bank for every youth, not just some screening based on ideas you think you want to fund. NO to that.
While we wait for that, details of every beneficiary 'project' must be made public
