Nollywood Actress Regina Daniel's Husband Ned Nwoko is being accused of stealing people's land in Delta State, Nigeria.

The women in his town took to the streets to protest against him.

They stormed the street accusing him of tormenting their men and forcefully taking their lands.

The women of Idumuje-Ugboko community under Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State on Wednesday protested against the Nigerian billionaire and former federal lawmaker, accusing him of tormenting indigenes and incarcerating their husbands, relatives and sons.

Ned Nwoko is being accused of forcefully taking over several hectares of land belonging to people in the town.

so any billionaire can walk into someone's land and grab it then with compensation as you said
what if the person is reserving the land for his own personal project?
won't the university be his own after building?

Imagine if the owner wants to build his own house there.
that's what all these billionaires do
use their money to oppress their communities.
I'm pro development but any compensation that's not worth the land should not be allowed.

land act use also allows leasing because most of the development you see in Anambra state especially in onitsha the land is always in lease
and even government do lease lands from the owners
normally it ranges from 20 years to 100 years
for example the famous All saints cathedral onitsha is a family land owned by a family in onitsha but on lease to the church at time range of 100 years so their family do share the money which ranges in almost a billion
and as a man you can only get your share which is in millions once in a lifetime.
also in onitsha there are many government establishments that they leased the land from onitsha people, some of them they failed to meet up the payments as agreed and what we do is to jejely collect back our land some where even sold back to individuals when government fails to pay.
for example
state government built post primary education office the lease was not meet up by Obiano
we jejely collected our land and sold it to a private individual.

so your argument is flawed on this.

if Ned is soo interested in this land he should ask them their demands
everyone has a price
Ned just wanted the land without compensation

there's nothing sentimental about this, we should learn to call a spade by its name, land grabbing is a crime, a criminal offense for that matter.
