President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday stated that it is the fundamental human right of the Nigerian youths to protest. He also stated that it is the right of the youths to make certain demands from their leaders. The President also said that the young generation should be allowed to exercise their fundamental rights. He, however, advised that they should not allow their genuine concerns to be hijacked by hoodlums. This was made by the Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Mr. Sunday Dare, after meeting with the President at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Briefing State House correspondents at the end of the meeting, Mr. Dare said: "President Buhari appealed to #EndSARS protesters to give the federal government time to address their demands as the team set up has already gone to work."
