For real they need to increase the money of all military and paramilitaries after they reform them.
Their salary is too small
Saw the screenshot of the police salary and I felt really bad
They should take care of them.

Then importantly they should decrease the money of our politicians
From local to federal
They should decrease it

They need yo reduce their own salaries and allowances first.

It’s not only by increasing their salary Mr. Jubril ; the Police welfare fund has been bastardized and trampled upon by their superiors . That’s why they go out there extorting money from the general public by any means

We are just wasting our time with this present structure.

There can never be a proper reformation of Police without decentralizing the force and that can only be done with proper restructuring the country.

Resructuring is what we need now else we shall continue to go round in circles.

Can we all be made aware of this salary scale?

I really have lost all faith in this Buhari regime, but this at least seems to be something done right, right?

Please, min wage for police should be N80,000 for new recruits.

If I were IGP, I'd go as far as to setup buffets for police officers, so they come in off of patrol and grab a quick lunch and head out.

On to more critical things, can we please imbibe the culture of police patrols and police squad cars pulling people over?

Right now, most Nigerians have never been pulled over by a police squad car, they just stand at junctions collecting money.

Can all squad cars have pos like devices that are capable of running a drivers license?

Can we switch their main guns from Aks to pistols?

Is all this too much to ask?

Good. Most Nigerians youth are too foolish. Instead of adding youth unemployment, reduction in salaries of politicians, increase in funding to educational sectors and other problems confronting the youth, they were only protesting End SARS and nothing else. Now, the Police killing you and distorting you are now the greatest beneficiares of the protest. Only their salaries and allowances are being reviewed upward, nothing for you.

"In the circumstances, I would like to appeal to protesters to note and take advantage of the various well-thought-out initiatives of this administration designed to make their lives better and more meaningful, and resist the temptation of being used by some subversive elements to cause chaos with the aim of truncating our nascent democracy". "Buhari

Yet, Covid-19 parlliatives meant to be distributed to very needy/ deserving citizens of the country were stocked to the brim in a 600 by 600ft Warehouse In Lagos, while those who should originally have them for food, dies of Hunger everyday.

I find this barbaric statement very disturbing.

Re: Buhari Directs Wages Commission To Speed Up New Salary Scale For Policemen by netmillionaires(m): 8:36pm On Oct 22, 2020
They should make the salaries and emoluments of our politicians a percentage of the minimum wage and subject to a maximum amount. e.g The salaries and benefits of Senators and reps should be 10 times the minimum wage subject to a maximum of #2.5 million. So if minimum wage is #30,000 then NASS will be collecting #300,000. Believe me, they will be increase minimum wage anyhow just to increase their salary.

They will not do anything about police welfare. Our leaders see police as sacrificial lambs but the people don't know that much.

Remember how Ngige lied on TV that they won't increase police wages because they did so the previous year.
Some time in the past the govt and their minions circulated something they called police improved salary but it was all lies. Policemen take home peanuts.

Bihari would have told us how the government plan to repair and fuel police patrol vehicles.

He would have told us how they plan to provide kits and stationeries for police.

Does the public know that Nigeria Police is basically and officially run with proceeds of investigation activities and provision of personal security. Therefore bail can never be free.

Visit any police barrack and see where our policemen wake up from. Then you'll know what the government has done with our police organization.

Someone will ask, "how about police budget?".
The three of NPF, Ministry of police affairs and Police Service Commission got N13.3B for capital expenditure.
This money by calculations can not fuel police patrol vehicles with 30 liters/day for one year.
Not to talk of acquiring new one or repair, barrack maintenance, courses, recruitments, utilities, kits, investigation activities, operations, etc
Most unfortunately, this budgeted money is never disbursed in full.

Our government is not ready to give us a good police organization and they use the available to secure their families knowing the inadequacies.

We have some bad elements in the police which is a reflection of the today's society we live in.

The major truth the people has refused to tell themselves is that police is not the enemy, people in government are.
Government is just manipulation us all and we fall for it all the time.
