The Kaduna State Government has extended all over the state the 24-hour curfew earlier imposed on some communities in Chikun and Kaduna South LGAs.

The measure is to help safeguard communities, protect lives and property and contain criminal who are looting public and private assets, a statement by the commissioner of internal security and home affairs, Samuel Aruean said in a statement Saturday night.

The extension of the curfew to all 23 local government areas is effective immediately, he said

He appealed residents to bear with the government as it takes necessary action to maintain law and order, and to protect the right of citizens to live in peace.
