1. Check The Expiration Date

After getting it from a pharmacist or Aboki as some may have it, you want to make sure it's usable in the first place.

Shocked that condoms have expiry date? Don't be. An expired condom will most likely fail, you don't want that to happen.

2. Feel For Air Bubbles - just to calm your mind!

This is for the safety nerds, but has its benefits. You may want to squeeze the package gently in between your thumb and index finger.

Why? Well, if you feel air bubbles after squeezing, it means the condom is not punctured.

Standard condoms have that air bubble feeling.

3. Open Carefully

This is where many fail. Don't use your teeth, don't tear the seal from the middle and don't use sharp objects.

Stick to the edges and remove gently. Most condoms have the tip of the seal fragile and easy to remove.

Open it wrong and you may end up using a leaky condom without knowing.

Please, always check.

7. After Sex

Make sure you hold your penis before withdrawing.

This way, it will not slip out leaving a mess or get stuck in whoever you've just finished having business with.

8. Removal/Disposal

Can i use it for a second time? Heck no!

Once you're done, try to knot the other end of the condom to avoid spilling. Preferably wrap it in a tissue paper.

No! It doesn't go into the toilet. Used condoms belong to the trash.

Consider using some form of lubricant. Lubricants should be basic necessities during sex.

Don't use spit, or your ejaculate (if you're not using condoms) - that is for porn, it really isn't sanitary

do not use oils or any oil based lube with Latex condoms
they compromise the latex and make it tear.

Most Nigerians have access to latex condoms, i guess water based lubricants are fine.
