Most traditional rulers have more than 1 staff, they usually have 1 or two major ones and possibly an extra as spare incase one gets stolen or damaged. But u mean oba forgot his staff in his bid to escape his people .. The symbol of his authority. Just like a soldier running away and forgetting his gun.. He must have been really scared and decided to flee for his life.
