Throwback:
You mean the Governor of Lagos State is the C-in-C of the Nigerian Armed Forces?

Where is the evidence of the invitation?

A state governor can actually INVITE the military in case of anarchy, not DIRECT them as the C-I-C could have done.

The governor also does not have control over their rules of engagement.

Yeah Sanwoolu invited them down, but did he instruct them to kill? No, because he doesn't have the constitutional power to give them such instructions.

Nemere2020:
BREAKING: Army denies shooting #EndSARS protesters

The 81 Division of the Nigerian Army (NA) has denied allegation soldiers opened fire on #ENDSARS protesters at the Lekki Toll Plaza last Tuesday.

In a statement by the Acting Director Army Public Relations (ADPR), Major Osoba Olaniyi, the Division however confirmed the involvement of soldiers in restoring order in Lagos following the declaration of curfew by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The Nation reports this is the first time the division is speaking about the incident that occurred last week.

It said: “The attention of Headquarters 81 Division Nigerian Army has been drawn to a viral video on social media in which it was alleged that civilian protesters were massacred by soldiers at Lekki Toll Plaza. This allegation is untrue, unfounded and aimed at causing anarchy in the country.

“At no time did soldiers of the Nigerian Army open fire on any civilian. From the onset of the ENDSARS protest, there was no time personnel of 81 Division Nigerian Army Lagos were involved.

“However, the decision to call in the military was taken by the Lagos State Government (LASG) after a 24- hour curfew was imposed.

“This was as a result of the violence which led to several police stations being burnt, policemen killed, suspects in police custody released and weapons carted away.

“The situation was fast degenerating into anarchy. It was at this point that LASG requested for the military to intervene in order to restore normalcy.

“The intervention of the military followed all laid down procedures for Internal Security operations and all the soldiers involved acted within the confines of the Rules of Engagement (ROE) for Internal Security operations.

“Finally, Headquarters 81 Division Nigerian Army reiterates Nigerian Army in the discharge of its constitutional responsibilities did not shoot at any civilian as there are glaring and convincing evidence to attest to this fact.

“This allegation is the hand work of mischief makers who will stop at nothing to tarnish the image of the Nigerian Army. The general public is hereby enjoined to discountenance this allegation as there is no iota of truth therein.”

But Nigeria armed forces on intervention on civil protests and on road blocks are about playing the ugly role of preserving the skewed and lopsided political structure created by northern military dictators to favor northern region. This political structure resulted in political leaders from the south becoming subservient to northern political leaders.

No country formed by different regions ever used land mass or population statistics as yardstick to proliferate new political units in an area of larger land mass or population, as was done in the northern region of Nigeria.

Restructure Nigeria or split the country into more manageable countries if the north disagrees to restructuring in a democratic set up.

Farki:
The army said the decision to call the army was because of attacks on police stations on the mainland so they went to the tollgate as directed by the government.

Sanwo-Olu denied sending soldiers to the tollgate now the army is saying the Lagos State government sent them.

Now they also said no civilian was shot so how did they end up in the hospital with bullet wounds? Did they shoot themselves?

hahahahah!!!...like I said they are not good liars or know how to keep up with the lies too.

Too many contradicting statements.

But as we all can see Sanwo-olu knows exactly what happened that night at Lekki toll gate. He's lying as long as he can get away with it.

He is the governor of Lagos State.

It's always difficult to beat the government when the international bodies are in support.
UN,UK and US are all playing to the tune of the FG,
If you know,you know.

No international body or country has the right to intervene until all the facts are out, it could take a year or two before any action. Look at the situation in Mali, they left it up to the African Union, countries are wiser now, it's high time Africa starts caring for Africa!

Initially they said no NA was at the lekki toll gate with clear evidence. Now they're saying another thing again. I am waiting for the Panel Of Enquiry Investigation to inform us the exact thing that happened. Sanwo said he did not know how the military work.

Truly I didn't read the post. This ppl are just so annoying, it's not encouraging to read their nonsense.

Matrimonous:

You didn't read the post o. They have maintained they were never at the toll-gate.
For me, with the way this is going, what it means is that there must've been so more deaths than has been confirmed so far. Just in line with what Amnesty International said. Since they came mysteriously, they may've mysteriously made away with some bodies and this also explains why the lights were turned off.

I am beginning to believe the governor of Lagos state . According to the army , he only requested for the army to intervain after the lekki incident ...so the governor was right to say he didn't call in the military during the lekki incident but after it. Let us read with comprehension . The question to ask now is was the military at lekki toll gate on the said day? If the answer is yes, then know that they were their from powers beyond the governor's control .

How many would you give Okezie Ikpeazu ? I tried to find an Iboo leader i can not think of one. Your people are not interested in producing a president or a leader, you are only interested in pulling down a yoruba man thats interested in climbing to the top.
He can be the top in his region.
Nobody cares.

Dont push that nonsense as our president. That is where it concerns me.

I don't think anybody will endorse ikpeazu for president either.

You see one thing certain is black people hate truth and loves lies

The yoruba media has been peddling lies since 1960 and got away with unchallenged until IPOB under the leadership of MNK came up to state the truth.

This is the reason it is easy for a typical yoruba to engage in bring down syndrome, back stabbing and envying

You have some body telling you the truth but just because he is Igbo then there is no sense in what he is saying.

Everybody that understand the ahah primordium of the boko harem fulani should know that Tinubu and Lagos Governor are involved in the shooting

However what worries US is the rate the leeches from hell paid #5,000 swarm to nl to defend their evil master

Nevertheless in the end Oduduwa and Biafra will come
