fijiano202: Please ignore my typographic error and bad english and focus on the message, thank you. I really dont know much about Ijagemo, but a little about Ijeododo... In 2019 Sanwo Olu campaigned and make promises that Ijagemo and Ijeododo are part of the project his administration will focus on when elected into office https://www.premiumtimesng.com/regional/ssouth-west/298701-lagos-2019-sanwo-olu-names-priority-project-if-elected-governor.html For now the road has been signed, contractors are on ground as I speak and some houses has been marked for demolition but what's delaying the project now is the owner's houses marked for demolition has taking lagos state to court to revert the road to its proposed route, because Lagos state decided that they want to construct the road beside pipeline so it will reduce vandalism on that route. I believe there's going to be compensation from the state government and contractors says they are waiting for the ministry of physical planning and urban development (mpp&ud) before commencement of work That particular route is about 19km and will lead to Lagos apapa express road through abule ado where gas plant exploded this year due to lickage, and was later debunked by BBC that it was pipeline explosion, that same route some pipeline lickage was complained to NNPC that there were lickage of pipeline and they swung into action, it made front page then. https://www.nairaland.com/6133739/abule-ado-pipeline-explosion-bbc https://www./2020/10/03/explosion-alert-pipeline-leakage-in-abule-ado-town-lagos/ https://www.vanguardngr.com/2020/09/ije-ododo-residents-commend-lagos-government-on-road-project/ Community leaders alongside residents of the community came out to praise the governor for signing the project... Due to the #endsars protest and demolition of government properties, nothing has been heard for now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NarX9QaTZLk Mod can help us push to front page. micoyankee:No house is marked for demolition at Ijagemo for now, so no sign of work commencement in any form. Also, since the govt is planning a reroute of the road network, why not make initial provision for those it's going to affect instead of going the court way that will end up at the supreme court after so many years with the job left undone. Furthermore, why can't the govt put some palliative measures on the road to make it motorable pending the road construction. |

OlujobaSamuel: I just modify my previous post about compensation and might still modify if I remember anything and I said I dont know about ijagemo... Am talking about Ijeododo for now... there's going to be a link road between the two communities ijeododo and ijagemo... but I cant say about that for now because it's not confirmed yet |
