I avoided having a girlfriend so I won't be spending thinking am smart. So as Usual thinking am smart I decided to make a couple of investment and boom I lost money in the investment. Now this got me thinking won't it have been better if I had enjoyed the money. Chop life and buy some nice clothings. I don't indulge in many stuffs due to wanting to save money. I am in my mid 20s and I earn 150k monthly but if you see me you will think I don't work. I am confused I don't know if I should continue doing akagum or start living the life. Funny enough my mum who usually advise us to save was even telling me one day that she hope I won't end up being a slave to money. This one that all the investment am putting money into just they enter voicemail. The most annoying thing is sometimes one useless thing will just come and chop the money person no one spend. what do you think?

Lol chop life brotherly. I remember when I bought my first car sha, a fine beautiful Lexus. I traveled to another state to meet my colleague and tight friend that will accompany me to buy the car. I got to his house and met him with his babe. They were in a middle of a business discussion when I got in.

Apparently the guy wanted me to know about the business since I don secure the bag already so he started talking. His babe cut him short and said let her explain to me in a way I'll understand. Just do the math, you can try to save at least half of your salary,use the rest to buy the things you like and chop pepper soup, chop asun, drink hollandia yoghurt every once in a while, don't hesitate to spoil yourself at least once a month. I would say create a balance between enjoying life and saving. What is the use of making money in this world and not enjoying some of it? Of course planning for the future is wise but you should pamper yourself and give yourself a treat once in a while.

This is what I personally do. I usually set aside a reasonable sum of money, more like a percentage of my salary every month for saving and then I enjoy myself within the limits of what I've decided to spend, including charity, personal needs, outings etc.

Problems will never expire on earth. Already you are good at saving and making good financial decisions but a little enjoyment once in a while won't hurt.

Sorry about your loss. As the French will say, c'est la vie (that is life). Maybe that's God's way of telling you to loosen up and have a bit of fun. Blessings
