As big as Nigeria it suppose to have a seperate road for tankers to use instead of moving with vehicles

Train would be preferable

When you make Lagos state a mono economy production state, while other states looks on, this is what you get.

Pls don't quote me, I pray there are no lost of innocent lives.

About 70% of Nigeria's business is done in Lagos alone

This is why we have high rate of emigration into Lagos every year. Infact Lagos is now very congested.

Of recent, the governor of Delta state was appealing to the fed govt to open up warri/calabar port to foster development.

Politics will not allow them because it must be Lagos and only Lagos. Endangering people's lives travelling from Thier respective states to Lagos all the time.

Check your records... Lagos-benin expressway have consumed lots of lives from time immemorial.

Is it not high time to decongest this Lagos, in terms of balancing the business opportunities for other states to be productive?.

Even in developed countries, tankers move on federal roads. There is nothing like tanker roads.

Those aren't hoodlums, they are the remnants of the peaceful protesters energised by anarchists. They are preparing for the coming looting and burning events. Lagos seems to not know the security damage that have been inflicted on the state. It takes time but everyone will feel it.

STUPID ASSERTION....peaceful protesters stoping government from saving lives and properties. If you don't know what to say keep quiet

you have presented your opinion well a good one at that but forgot fueling stations are competing with residential buildings in towns and cities.
if this inferno don't happen on the high way it would sure end up in our residential area which would be more disastrous. we need the drawing board now than any other time in this nation.
we need correct error of the past and shape the future. creating a special route for those snake isn't enough how satisfied are the vehicle and the drivers? fueling stations should move out of residential area be it densely or non densely populated.
everyday of our life in this just one disaster wait to occur but God be on our side.

My sympathy to all that lost properties due to this inferno. cry cry cry embarassed

Kudos to Lagos State response unit for responding to the incidence. However, what is LRU looking for in another jurisdiction after half of their fire fighting assets were burnt down by some rampaging youths (hoodlums) during the recent protest. Ogun state should have a robust response unit like Lagos

The atmosphere is still tensed because of targeted attacks on Security personnel ( fire service included. On a lighter note, they use black uniforms too grin grin grin grin) by anarchist and their cheerleaders. So, if safety of their personnel is not guaranteed, I see no reason why embarking on such operation.

Lastly, I wish the sensible youths and community leaders should condemn attacks on emergency and security services because they work hand in hand. Otherwise, this lawlessness might be our new normal.
