A Nigerian lecturer, Dipo Awojide, has condemned the recent appointments of BBNaija stars into political offices, IgbereTV reports.

On Friday, November 6, the Bayelsa state governor, Duoye Diri, appointed BBNaija lockdown housemates, Nengi and TrikyTee as his Senior Special Assistants.

Reacting to the development, Dipo said such appointments show that Nigeria has a long way to go.

We don't have a long way to go , we can just see those that are useless in power

Bad Belle, which competence or qualifications are you talking about? They all have minimum requirements for job in govt parastatals. Experience does not fly. From this one now, experience is gained. They are graduates and some even Masters. Please rejoice with those rejoicing and stop drinking paracetamol on another person's head.

What you guys don't know the sole reason he appointed them is because they can pull crowd during election since they have a lot of fans.

Now who would you prefer as the governor of your state? The people you mentioned or Nengi (and BBN housemates)??

It is not a new malpractice that irrelevant and less qualified appointees are favoured to function in public office. Some chooses their friends, family members, and lovers in some cases. This is one of the reasons why our political system is having setback and some political appointees cannot deliver to the standard expected by the public. Political offices should be taken serious and abusers should be prosecuted.

Metaphorical statement.

Some people from that side are naturally born bigots. They can criticise those they hate but support the most useless people who have nothing valuable to offer. They always ask for competency but are celebrating mediocrity especially the appointment of someone who will influence people in a non meaningful way. The whole word is focusing about production, manufacturing, science and technology, robotic education but some idiots are always proud of music and entertainment as a success for a nation. No wonder Nigeria is only exporting music, entertainment and religion. Though the old generation has failed us but I foresee the worst set of people in Nigerian Youth.

This is total bullshit cause many of them were all graduates before they were Bbnaija housemates.
Is not as if what you study in school really matters for job opportunity.
You guys should also tell us which university Buhari attended and of cause Hope Uzodimma , governor of Imo State and some many others that are into politics .
