The Egbeda Command Unit of FRSC in Oyo State have recently impounded a Toyota Sienna car loaded with alleged stolen goats in Ibadan.

From the new report reaching us on the recent activities of the Egbeda Unit Command of the Federal Road Service Corps in Oyo State, a Toyota Sienna was impounded for conveying alleged stolen goats.

The impounded Toyota Sienna has the registration number KRD 815 GN. This information was revealed by one Akeem Kareem, who happens to be the Assistant Corps Commander and FRSC unit Commander in Egbeda. During an interview with the press in Ibadan on Tuesday, he showed them the vehicle and goats found inside it.

The unit commander said the impounded vehicle loaded with goats was left unattended to on the road right in front of their office in Egbeda around 4 am. The driver reportedly fled the scene when the vehicle had a burst tyre. In a similar story that happened recently, the Nigeria Customs revealed the ₦200m bulletproof Toyota SUV impounded from smugglers at one of the country's land borders.

According to Kareem, when the FRSC officials approached the abandoned vehicle, they found the engine running while the goats inside were tied in the mouth with tape. The vehicle was later taken off the road in order to avoid unnecessary traffic obstruction or road accident.

He disclosed that in accordance with the instruction given to him by the Sector Commander of FRSC in Oyo State, the vehicle and the goats have been handed over to the police for further investigation. Kareem, however, implored the public to inform the FRSC of any obstruction on the road that could endanger the safety of people using the roads.
