That's not the full story. O.P merely told half of it. Okorocha was severally warned when he was erecting the hastily built hospital. He closed a market that was historically situated and owned by indigenous Owerri people in his effort to spite them. He was warned that nothing else, no other structure would stand on that market ground for long as the land would not accept the uprooting and replacement of the market due to its historic origins, but he wouldn't listen. Owerri people have yearned for the return of their famous Ekeukwu market and probably proud that Uzodimma is about to make this happen. Good riddance!

A step backwards, surely working against the masses, he hasn’t come to serve . Very uncalled for and retributive in its entirety.

Somto lost his life when a stray bullet from the trigger happy men of the Nigeria armed forces who decided to go on a shooting spree to despatch off the traders who where adamant to vacate the popular douglas main market....

Somto lost his life at a young age and his dreams where also cut short. Imo state governor Anayo Okoroacha decided to build a hospital on his name to honor him but 2 years after the hospital has been built, the new governor has decided to bring it down.

Now my question to imolite is this, is the main market the main need of imo citizens. They should have transformed it if the feel that the hospital is not needed.

That Imo State governor is a FOOL, more foolish than the previous one who was sacked by the Supreme court.

Even if Imo people met you and said they don't need hospitals again, why not convert the building to some other use, instead of demolishing it outright.
