When I say that Southerners are educated illiterates and fools this is what I meant.

Northern governors allow their people to mine any resources on their land towarda creating wealth for their people. It is happening in Taraba with Diamonds, Zamfara with gold and Jos with tantalite .

But what can only be described as stupidity of the highest level, the Osun state govt under the Odenni Rauf Aregberascal was begging the FG to come and invest in gold mining in his state. Not stopping there, Aregberascal sold vast swath of virgin forests in Osun which are known to have gold and precious stones to a Chinese lumber company which other than tearing down the forest, is actively engaged in illegal mineral mining .

The fool even made it illegal for small time local lumbermen from accessing the forest and decided it was best to give it out to a Chinese company that is reducing the forest by at least 5 football fields a day.

To these idiots in the South, when the state govt controls the resources or has a high IGR like Lagos State, that means they are rich. These revenue always end up being stolen by the sane corrupt govt officials with coniviance with foriegn actors.

So you deny the people access to resources in the state. Sell it off at a ridiculous rate yo a foreign company which repartriates all the wealth out of the country and then you beat your dry chest that your state is generating revenue while your people are drowning in poverty.

Idiots.

Even when the FG ordered the closure and arrest of the Chinese miners, Aregberascal shielded them from being arrested.

This led to a standiff between the FG under Jonathan and Osun state govt who were claiming that the miners where only involved with lumbering despite all evidences and pettitions to the contrary.

Note that Aregberascal clamped down hard on Osun miners in preference for his Chinese miners who he lied that were lumbers.

You see why zamfara and the north have more sense?

At least their people were mining the wealth directly . The only draw back is that it led to every raggedy Sahelian trooping into that state which saw to turf battles by Terrorists between themselves and locals.
