nah, even if he is not their intended man, they can re-assure him it'll be zoned to the south and allow him to contest and lose. When it was zoned to the north in 2019, all parties from NE(atiku), and tambuwal(NW) were allowed to contest

They know he is a different type of politician. It's better they let him go now than to allow him lose and defect at a most critical period when his defection would have been a lot more costlier than now.

how can you defect after losing primaries? Around that same period the opposition party will be doing primaries as well and if you were to defect after losing primaries you'd not receive a heroes welcome and may not be eligible to contest primaries in opposition party.

Okorocha lost primaties to buhari and stayed

The worst anyone who loses primaries does, is to go and contest senate or gubernatorial, but to switch party at that critical stage? I never see

Can Tambuwal defeat any of Umahi/Orji Kalu/Okorocha in the general election? Maybe.

What I know is the northern-Muslim political establishment/oligarchy would all back the Tambuwal-Wike ticket because power, to the northern establishment, must be retained regardless of party affiliation.

Apparently, all the igbo politicians interested in presidency are alreary in APC. (Okorocha,kalu, umahi). The ones still in PDP like ikpeazu and gburugburu who don't even have bridges and national appeal don't have such federal intentions that's why they're still in PDP. Any SE politician who has such intentions knows PDP is not where to harvest it. Because it won't be zoned to them.
Ikpeazu and gburugburu are probably going for senate
