My son sat for the just concluded common entrance examination and got 165( qualified for selection under national merit)

meanwhile, the Federal Ministry of education has announce that the cut off mark for this year admission is peg at 142 classify as national merit

could this mark (165) placed my son admission in Kings College in Lagos

Next
State of origin comes into play. Some states are considered educationally disadvantaged states.
So depends on ur state of origin.

If u are from Anambra (state with the highest IQ) then u are in for a long wait like I did 30 years ago till others states with lower IQ get their bellies full.

i heard all the principals has gone for selection on thur i hope my son name is included
