The Hon. Minister of Transportation, Rt.Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has said that all equipment needed for the Deep Blue Project would be ready in March 2021.

The Minister disclosed this while inspecting the equipment purchased for the Deep Blue Project at Naval Base Ojo in Lagos State, recently.


However, it is worthy of note that the Deep Blue
Project is championed by NIMASA, which is aimed at prevention illegal activities in the Maritime domain.

Speaking further, he stated that most of the equipment needed is on ground except for Aircraft and helicopters.



The inspection and assessment visit of the equipment on ground was done by the Minister of Transport, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi alongside the Minister of Defence, Retired Maj.-Gen. Bashir Magashi.


The equipment inspected include Antennas for Special Mission Vessel, Drones, Weapon site, CPR kit, C4i Centre, Special Mission vessels, Satellite Communication Centre amongst others.
