This government keep recruiting clueless and educated illiterate into the system. The very day it was announced that Timipre Sylva is now the minister of state for petroleum that day I knew the end of NNPC had finally come. This was a man who did nothing in Bayelsa state where he held sway for yes as a governor. He was once stoned on the podium by angry youth who felt he was a waste as a governor of the state. Like someone always ask on this platform, who do we offend to deserve all these kind of government and policies? 1 Like |

*IS BUHARI FROM NIGER REPUBLIC or NIGERIA ~ Nigerian Shine your eye* I will build 4 Refineries in my 4 years tenure. ~ Major General M.Buhari. 4 Years later, Niger Republic got the 4 Refineries with a pretending company profiles. 4 Years later, Niger Republic got Rail project from Nigeria to Niger Republic free of charge. 4 Years later, Niger Republic got Gas Pipe line Contract from Nigeria to Niger Republic free of charge. 4 Years later, Niger Republic got Billions of U.S Dollar Electricity transmission and power plant generation contract from Nigeria to Niger Republic free of charge. 4 Years later, Niger Republic got her roads constructed from Nigeria to Niger Republic free of charge. Dear Mr President, where are the 4 Refineries you promised Nigerians in 2014/15 during your campaign? You promised to end fuel importation into Nigeria but went and signed MoU with Niger Republic to be importing fuel into Nigeria from Niger Republic. *What is going on in Nigeria?* |

If we investigate this i am sure the refinery is owned by a Nigerian. I am 90% sure of that. This is another way of looting. |

Then the border shouldn't be closed if we truly want to be committed to this regional or sub-regional trade agreement. What's the essence of locking border against Ghana and Cotonou who will pay to bring in their goods through the southern border but open door for Niger at the Northern border to import fuel we are most likely going to shoulder the cost of logistics. 1 Like |

“Niger Republic produces oil and they are landlocked as a country. They have a refinery that produces in excess of what they require as a country and they offered to sell to us in Nigeria because this is a bigger market. seunmsg: Well said, The president is the current Minister of Petroleum and in 6 years of holding that position, he has failed to pass the PIB, repair the four refineries or sell them. It's obvious that the government is directly complicit in keeping the refinery in a comatose state while earning money from importing refined products at the expense of Nigerian health and foreign reserve. This is what state capture looks like. 1 Like |

Even as of 2015, there were petrol stations in Katsina that were getting their supply from Niger Republic. Every other state would be experiencing fuel scarcity then but Katsina would have available fuel. It has already been happening low key, govt is just making it official now. |

Sire, we are over the moon. So proud of you guys eh that it will make Kim Jong Un's praise singers seem like renegades. But sir can you increase the losses from NNPC refineries to one trillion naira every year. This year's losses are quite paltry. |
