It is no news that 20th of October is a day most Nigerians will chose to either remember or forget. It is a day the Nigeria Army allegedly went to lekki toll gate and the Nigeria Army in an attempt to Disperse the crowd of youthful Protesters shot at the protest ground. They have been accusations and counter accusations about how the military shot on that day. Major protester DJ SWITCH alleged that the military shot and killed many Protesters, Lagos State governor on the other hand in a press conference aid only 2persons were killed. However, he alleged that they were not killed with a bullet. In an interview with CNN, he said they will be investigation on the incident

However there was no word from the presidency as regards the shooting at the lekki toll gate even when the president gave a live broadcast. This really resulted into tension around the country. The military while reacting to the incident deny their involvement in the incident. They denied ever being at the toll gate. But would later admit that they were at the toll gate but didn't shoot at protesters.
The Lagos State Government just like their other state counterparts set up judicial panel as directed by the president to hear cases of human right abuse and figure from the defunct SARS. While This was ongoing, DJ switch had an interview with CNN and stood her ground that people actually was shot at and killed by the Nigeria Army at the toll gate.

However, at the hearing in the judicial panel, the Nigeria Army later backtracked and admitted that it actually went to the protest ground but shot at the air to diapers the crowd of protesters. It said that they shot with blank bullet. They also reveal that they were invited to the lekki toll gate to disperse the protesters by the Lagos State Government but didn't shoot at protesters. They also revealed that DJ switch who had already traveled to Canada is not wanted by the military or security agency.

While this investigation was ongoing, The Nigeria security agency still investigating events that took place during the end SARS protest started clamping down on major leaders of the protest. On of them Eramosele. He was reportedly arrested in his house. But he was later released from custody after court ruled in his favor.

Then the most dramatic event happened. CNN while investigating the end SARS Protest Shooting at Lekki Toll gate released a part of their investigation on their channel which brought out lots of reaction both home and abroad. Their investigation revealed in the video that the Nigeria Army shot at protesters. And also shot on the Air. They also reveal the name of the bullet shot there and where it was purchased from. But didn't really say if there was Massacre as their investigation video didn't reveal if people died but only one person was shown to be covered with NIGERIA flag.

After CNN release their report, BBC who has a reporter present at the protest Ground however reported that no one died at the protest ground because the military was shooting on air. But she saw a protester on the floor grasping for air as a result of the stampede that ensured during the shooting. She however admitted that she left the protest ground 25 minutes after the shooting started.

However, the federal Government in reaction to CNN report describe the report as irresponsible and threaten to sanction CNN.

However, the federal government later wrote a petition to the top management of CNN saying that their reporter reported a misleading video about what happened at the lekki toll gate.

However, the incident was debated in UK Parliament and Nigeria Government was threaten to be sanctioned by the UK. One of the members of Parliament charges them to sanction those who murdered NIgerians at lekki toll gate and don't allow them to trade and travel to the UK.
