Estate fees
Ground rent
Tv licence
Utilities extra expensive
Funny funny fees

A house in maitama will buy 3 houses in Houston. But it is not half as beautiful, you don't get half the quality of life or even a quarter of the rent back. Abuja as one of the most expensive cities is fueled, not by natural demand, but as a conduit for hiding corruption money which cannot be put in the bank. Someone built a house for 70m in abuja and sold it for 700m. Cos someone needs to hide stolen government funds most likely.

So I ask myself, why buy a house in Abuja?

When corruption and wasteful spending push unbearable taxes on the citizens, then, even Buhari's biggest supporters will revolt at the right time.

I have never heard about this type of tax anywhere in the world how can someone be taxed for living in an area where the govt established a radio and tv station? This buhari's regime have totally lost all legitimacy to still remain in power.

This has been going on in Abuja for like 8yrs. The only difference now is it is affecting small businesses. Banks were mostly targeted prior to now and I can tell you as at 2013, my branch was billed N1.2mil before it was brought down to N400k.

Not everything started with Buhari's regime.

I'm prepared for this aswear ... All it requires is for the atmosphere to be poisoned with bad gas ... then you started buying fresh oxygen mask like buying pure water ... if you buy the adulterated ones, you die ... if you remove your mask you will die ....

Capitalism better be changed before it leads to human extinction......... Too many knowledge for human as a result of ransacking our brains for survival is destructive to our planet, animals, plants and we human ourselves !!

Most of these things are what they copied from lagos state government, in their so called revenue generation.

How does the government know who listens to radio or watch tv. I can't remember how many times I watched TV in Nigeria or even listened to radio, I did everything on my phone

Then they should be charging Internet license fees.

We were charged 500k; put the bill in the dustbin where it belonged

They brought a court summons as well; put that in the dustbin too

They came to enforce a sealing order for not showing up at court

Asked for their leader to come in; had a common sense meeting with him and let’s just say he left richer than he came in.

This tax just ends up in the LG chairman’s pocket with no value to anyone...

Relocate your business from Abuja if you can, they're thieves. Any Nigerian that vote any stupid leader in 2023 that person has him or her to blame.
The worst government in history.

Could you please explain how it all works because the report is very confusing and unclear.

Who is to pay businesses, individuals or both.
Also, is it compulsory? That is, what if you don't have nor listen to either radios and TVs are you also mandated to pay for a service you don't use?

How does it work really? Because the whole thing defeats logic, it's totally unreasonable in my opinion even for big businesses to pay.
