SAG: We'll Stage Protest in Umuahia if Ikpeazu Recalls ex-CoS

Youths under the aegis of the Save Abia Group (SAG) have threatened to embark on protest against Governor Okezie Ikpeazu if the Abia state government recalls the recently suspended Chief of Staff, ACB Agbazuere.

The group's position was contained in a statement made available to Igbere TV on Monday, in reaction to the trending report where the ex-COS bragged about being returned to office soon, despite calls for his arrest and prosecution for abuse of the naira, dereliction of duty and desecrating the government house.

Agbazuere was quoted to have bragged before his circle of friends at a location, following his suspension, that, “I will return [to my position] soon, no cause for alarm”, blaming unnamed “enemies” for his ordeal.

But in a statement on Monday, the Save Abia Group vowed to stage a heavy statewide protest starting from Umuahia, the Abia State capital if Governor Ikpeazu recalls his suspended CoS Agbazuere back to his former position.

Singed by Chairman of the group, Hon. David Chukwumerije, the group said Agbazuere should be sacked from office immediately and be made to face the law and prosecuted instead of suspension.

The group noted that the embattled ex-CoS lacks the repertoire to be the Chief of Staff to the Abia State Governor, threatening to embark on protest if Agbazuere is not sacked within seven days.

“It is no longer news that the Abia State Chief of Staff, Dr ACB Agbazuere has been suspended from office by the state Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu,” SAG said.

“We want to categorically state that the suspension is not enough punishment for his gross misconducts.

“His action is very disdainful, disgraceful and will require time to amend because he lacks the repertoire to be in such position.

“Agbazuere should never be recalled back. And if Ikpeazu doesn't sack him within the next seven days, we will stage a heavy protest in Umuahia to show our anger and frustration over the terrible conditions of Abia State,” the statement added.

I have watched the idiotic COS several times on TV. He bragged about his PH.D, he said he could not answer certain questions because of his high level of education and exposure to High wire politics. He claimed to know everything, so pompous, so conceited and you want to check him out. First, he looks like a village hunter, speaks like a stark illiterate with a diction of a man who never appeared in a pronunciation class. You can imagine a so called PH.D holder pronouncing the word "Pauper" as "Pa upa"

So I am not surprised he has many other vices including publicly spraying Naira notes on the con man Oduhaeje (who in every sense is as crude as himself), in clear violation of the CBN law on currency handling.

Please Mr. back bencher governor, sack that animal already. Poor Abia has no money to keep a slowpoke on its payroll a day longer.

What the governor did is right. He should be sacked outright. Leadership is by example. A top government official should not be doing that to the naira. It is abuse of the naira and CBN has repeatedly warned against that.
