Hausa/fulani Contributes More In Lagos, Swest Economy Than The Igbos by Biodun556(m): 5:07pm On Dec 08, 2020
My observation

The main business of the Northerners are agricultural products like livestocks, grains and spices.

Hundreds of thousands of Yorubas are retailers and middle men of the Hausa/Fulani major businesses like the peper sellers, butchers, beef sellers, food sellers.

The Igbos are into electronics, second hand clothes etc They are the importers and producer s, they equally serve as retailers/middle men restricting others to mere consumers.

To a typical Igbo man, it is him and his brother from the village.

May be this is why the Yorubas prefer Hausa/Fulanis to the Igbos.

Hausa-fulani also contribute more to the economy of the south west than Eurobas themselves. Dangotes investment in Lagos can put all of Yorubas in investment in the entire south west inside his pocket.

Funny people.

So your analogy is actually born out of envy and bitterness rather than concrete facts? grin

You lots need to understand the simple fact that Igbos are extremely competitive people even among themselves, Most outsiders just can't keep up in anything with them especially the laid-back Yoruba people

Yorubas simply can't afford the capital needed to start up the kind of businesses that Igbos do.

Igbo's invest Billions on their businesses, compare that to Yoruba and Hausa pepper sellers that can start with 2000-500 naira.

So who is a better investor amongst the three groups?

It was when the Igbos travelled during Christmas that Fashola cleaned Oshodi. All their kiosk they put at middle and sides of the express road were burnt.

The Igbos can easily be replaced. No be to dey import spare parts and electronics?

It takes patience and endurance to be a farmer.

We are not saying Igbos are not extremely competitive even to the detriment of others. Sure
But the fact is Yorubas prefer the Hausa/Fulanis because they create millions of employment and improve the economy through their own style of doing business.

It doesn't take the Hausas anything to start selling their products to their wives and brothers removing the Yorubas as retailers and middle men just as the Igbos are doing.

Without Igbos presence in Lagos, I wonder how the State economy would look like. This is the more reason why Lagos, SW and Nigeria at large can't do without Igbo tribe.

Biodun wake up its afternoon already.

You are in Lagos waiting for Hausa to supply you agriculture produce while Igbos go to their farm in the north, buy the produce from them, move it to the south and supply to even your people.

And you think Igbos dont own farms in the North? Wake up.
