DZTech:
many of us are unaware that there are many generations of Christians in the North.
from Sokoto to Borno, many original indigenes were Christians.
long before Independence, schools, hospitals and other institutions were built and run by locals, govt and missionaries.
- hence the large number of Christian girls in FGGC Chibok.
therefore boko haram knew what they were doing during the kidnappings.

so kindly name the LGAs in states that you know of.
further analysis will take place once this list is compiled.

LukasPodolski:

I would love to make a correction on the issue of Kwara state as a BONAFIDE Kwara indigene.

I'm a Christian, but saying that the population of Christians in Kwara is up to 40% is not true.

among the Yorubas that occupies 12 local government area and 2 senitorial district (Kwara South and Kwara central ) + 1 local government govt in Kwara North which is Moro local government.

Kwara South has 7 LGAs (predominantly Yoruba)
Kwara central has 4 LGAs(predominantly Yoruba)
Kwara North has 5 LGAs (but Yorubas occupies one of these five LGAs )

7+4+1 = 12 Yoruba LGAs

the only Christian dominated LGAs are Isin, Ekiti and Oke-Ero (I came from one of these LGAs)
these three LGAs are the smallest in respect to population and Landmass in Kwara state.

Ilorin which is the largest City is 98% Muslim
Offa which is the second largest city is at least 90% Muslim
if you remove these two cities from kwara, then there is nothing left in terms of population.

among the Yorubas of Kwara state, the population of Muslims is 70% while Christians is 30%

now if we add Kwara north(an area which is 90% Muslims, the Nupes and Bariba people), this will reduce the population of Christians in the whole state to 15%-20%)

now to the concluding part which is also the most important part, you called yourself a northern Christian advocate or whatever, I think you should remove Kwara state from your activism or whatever, you don't create a problem where there is none, Kwara is a state of harmony, Kwara is arguably the most peaceful state in Nigeria, so don't come and cause problem here with your activism.

did you even know that Most of the popular pastors in Nigeria started in Ilorin?
from Adeboye to Oyedepo to Fatoyinbo to Sam Adeyemi and his brother and the list goes on.
here is a comprehensive list of Nigerian pastors that started in Kwara state.
https://www.nairaland.com/2584549/most-nigeria-top-pastors-tied

though most of them left for Lagos, Ogun and Abuja for wider audience, only Rhema Chapel still had it's headquarters in Ilorin.

Ilorin is the most lively city In northern political zone and the third in Yorubaland after Lagos and Ibadan.... despite the fact that the city is 99% Muslim (indigenous people), the ratio of church to mosque is like 8:2, you would see 8 churches in Ilorin before you will see 2 mosque.

even the the last 3 first lady were Christians
Toyin Saraki never convert into Islam.
Omolewa Ahmed was even a Deaconess.
the current one two is a Christian (though I don't know much about her)

this is how we roll in Kwara state and Yorubaland at large, we view ourselves as Yoruba and Human being before any foreign Religion

so don't take your activism to kwara, it's good here, unless you want Ogun to kill you.

thank you
Ur very correct sir

You are a condemned liar.
You don't know nothing about Kwara state.

Before I proceed, I will like to clear your insanity.
Where were you and your cowardly fathers when the Yorubas of Kwara & Kogi were carved into Northern Nigeria?
You people cowardly let that slide away and even till date you keep quiet about it, so shut that hole in your face.
As long as religion remains the number 1 identity in the north and your useless Kwara state is still under Northern Nigeria, continue to cry forever.
If u think I give a fvck about Yoruba people, then u are insane.

According to you, Irepodun & Ifelodun LGAs of Kwara state are Muslim majority? Absolute nonsense and lies.
Omu-aran town ( the 2nd biggest town in Kwara south) and the 3rd biggest in the entire state is Christian dominated and it is the headquarters of Irepodun LGA.

Kwara state is 75% Yoruba & 25% Nupe & Bariba.

The Yorubas of Kwara state are divided into 4 groups, the Igbominas who are the largest and dominate Kwara south and Asa, Ilorin Emirates Indigenes, the 2nd largest, Igbolo who dominate Offa & Erin ile LGAs and the Ekiti speakers who dominate Ekiti & Oke-ero.

Igbominas are majority Christians with significant Muslim minorities for starters! Ekitis are entirely Christians while Ilorins & Igbolos are Muslim majority with significant Christian minorities.
So stop masquerading as a Christian and take that your Islamic system of taqiyya back to the pit of hell.

As for Kwara north, only a nincompoop will claim that this area is 90% Muslim. Are you aware that most times, the deputy governor slot goes to Kwara north and it is always a christian? Muslims are majority in Kwara north, yes, but the christians there are not less 35%!

In Patigi town, Christians outnumber muslims!
The 2nd biggest Nupe town in Kwara!

There are so many famous and politically powerful Christians who hail from Kwara north
What made u think omu aran has more Christians? And I also want u to remember that omu aran isn't the only town in kwara South

LukasPodolski:

see this degenerate from violence ravaged plateau state calling Kwara useless, isn't this laughable?
Kwara is the most prosperous state in the north Central, miles better than your battle ground Plateau state, in the north Central after Abuja, Kwara is next....

northern Nigerian is just a political term, Kwara is culturally and geographically a Western state..

have you ever wonder why Kwara is a state of harmony? it's because religion is not our identity contrary to the trash you said earlier that religion is the identity of northern Nigeria people..
OUR SLOGAN IS "THE STATE OF HARMONY" IT'S GOOD HERE.

now back to business.

KWARA CENTRAL: have you ever seen someone from Kwara central that practice Christianity? Kwara central that consist of Ilorin east, Ilorin South, Ilorin west and Asa is at best 95% I've never seen someone from Ilorin that practice Christianity, the 5% would most likely come from Asa (Ilorin Emirate is 99.9% Muslim)

Kwara central constitutes like 40-45% of the whole Kwara population.

KWARA SOUTH :

Offa, Erin-ile and other towns in Oyun are called IBOLO and not IGBOLO
(it shows that you rely on Google and not first hand experience)

Offa the second largest town is predominantly a Muslim town with very tiny Christian population.

In Irepodun, Omu-Aran Is not a majority Christian town, I know Omu-Aran like the back of my hand, Omu-Aran though harbours Christians from small Irepodun villages like, Oko, Aran-orin, Roore, E.t.c
the three biggest towns in Irepodun are;
Omu-Aran ----- looks like 50/50 or slightly Muslim majority, even most popular people from Omu-Aran are Muslims, like Lateef Jakande, Koko zaria, Owolewa, even Pastor Oyedepo was born to a Muslim family.

Oro is the second Biggest town in Irepodun and it's majority Muslims, 90% of notable people from this town are Muslims, Lai Mohammed, Pasuma, Yinka quadri, e.t.c

Ajase-ipo, the third biggest town too is majority Muslim.

the Christians dominated towns in Irepodun are small towns and villages, the Muslim dominated towns will neutralize the Christian towns.

Ifelodun too is majority Muslim, Share, Omupo, Idofian e.t.c are Muslim towns, especially Omupo (where Muslims used to have a mini- pilgrimage)

it's only Isin, Ekiti and Oke-Ero that are Christians dominated areas.

in Ekiti, the biggest town which is Osi is majority muslim, but other towns like Obo, Etan, Oke opin, Epe are overwhelmingly Christian Villages.

in Oke-Ero, the biggest town, Ilofa is 50/50, but other towns like Odo-owa, Aiyedun, Ekan, odofin are overwhelmingly Christian.

Isin is also Overwhelmingly Christian LGA.

KWARA NORTH : The Bariba people that occupies Baruten and Kaiama are 95% Muslims but the Nupes has a very small Christians in Patigi but not Edu.....

Moro, which is the only Yoruba area In Kwara north is also 90% Muslims, you will only find small Christians in Shao town, in villages like Malete, Elemere, Asomu, Kosubosu, Alapa where the Kwara state University is located you will hardly see Christians, In Malete, Elemere villges not even one single Christian...
if you doubt me, take a trip to Malete, where the Kwara state Uni is located, it's just a 45minute journey from Ilorin, then take a quick census or ask any indigene of Malete and other surrounding villages about the religion demography in the area, they will tell you that they are all muslims, 100%

the only Christian dominated areas are Isin, Oke-Ero, Ekiti, these areas are Soo small that Saraki came to campaign in one of these LGA he said the total number of votes in that particular LGA is less than his Polling unit in Agbaji, Ilorin.

and lastly, in respect to population, the igbomina are not the largest, the Igbomina only have the largest Landmass..
They occupies, Irepodun, Isin and some part of Ifelodun, Irepodun population is not up to Ilorin west, while the combined population of Ifelodun and Isin is not up to Ilorin east.
leaving Ilorin South and some part of Asa behind.

hence, the Ilorin are the largest Yoruba subgroup in Kwara.

if you remove Ilorin and Offa from Kwara, there is nothing left.

I don't need to proof that am a Christian, I just love being objective, and there is nothing wrong in being objective.

stay away from Kwara, IT'S GOOD HERE.
Leave that guy jare, better not waste your valuable time

Kwara is next after Abuja? Oshogbo weed at work grin
Can you compare the size of Ilorin to Jos?
In the entire Northern region, only Kano, KADUNA and now recently Abuja is bigger than Jos city in size!
Ilorin is in the league with cities like Makurdi, Bauchi, Maiduguri & Sokoto.

Jos city is like x2 the size of Ilorin.
Google maps is your friend.
There are more than 30 tertiary institutions in Jos.
The kind of million dollar industries headquarters you have in Jos like NASCO & GRAND, how many of such are in Ilorin?
ECWA, one of the biggest church denominations in Nigeria & COCIN too, with millions of church members both have their headquarters in Jos.

Oga, see, know your mate ooo
Better go and compare Ilorin with Makurdi or Lokoja.

Nigeria has a Constitution and it classifies Kwara as a northern state.
Geography is inconsequential here.

Muslim extremists have burned down churches and attacked Christians in Ilorin, time and time again.
So pls shove that 'phantom' peace down your behind.

https://www.premiumtimesng.com/regional/north-central/254386-churches-attacked-ilorin-new-year-day-can.html

Peace that only comes by surrendering your land to the rulership of the fulani emirate of Ilorin & Sokoto caliphate.
Thank you, but I think I will pass for that kind of peace. Peace is slavery & servitude.

Yes Kwara central (Ilorin) has half of the state's population, but that is because all Kwarans live in Ilorin.
Non Indigenes of Ilorin have outnumbered Ilorin Indigenes in Ilorin 4;1.... That is why Christians are now almost equalling the numbers of Muslims in Ilorin city.

So, you either count Ilorin Indigenes (90%) Muslim with a small population, or you count everyone that lives in Ilorin with a large population (half of the state), and then it becomes 40% Christian.
You cannot count outsiders to Ilorin indigenous population and still label the city 90% Muslim, that is tantamount to madness!

Imagine someone saying that Omu-aran town has more Muslims, or Ilofa is 50-50.
This is a very big lie. I have stayed in these towns and I have 1st hand experience, this is simply not true.
Your problem is that you judge some of these towns with the religion of the families, you forget that over the years, so so many Yoruba Muslims have been converting to Christianity and keep on converting still.

It's just like Ijebu, originally, Ijebu people were a Muslim majority people, but over the years Christians have now become a majority among Ijebus due to high conversion rates. Check out almost every Ijebu Christian today, they have muslim father's or grandfather's.

Another thing is that many of the very small villages in Kwara have dominantly Christian population, and over the years, these Christians migrate to the bigger towns and further dilute the Muslim population.
Just like Offa, you claim that Offa is 90% Muslim. That could be possible 40 years ago, but not today! The Offa I know today is at least 35% Christian!

Thank God for technology, anybody who is interested in demographics, can help himself with Google maps.
If you look at Offa is Google maps, you will see that the number of churches outnumber the number of mosques. This cannot be possible in an area where Christians make up 10% of the population.
Now, I am not saying that the number of churches is directly equivalent to the Christian population, however, it shows the clear and strong presence of Christians there.
So, your write up cannot be corroborated with facts!

Most of those 'famous' people you are listing, check out so many of their wives and children, they are now Christians, just like Bukola Saraki.

Oga, do you know Bariba at all?
Elder Peter Kisira (former deputy governor) of Kwara state is a church elder and is from Ilesha Baruba. Do you think it would have been possible for him to be the most senior Bariba person in Kwara state for so many years if indeed Bariba people were entirely Muslims?

Go through Bariba towns from Ilesha Baruba to Kaiama, Moshi, Okuta, Gwanara, Yashikera, Chikanda...... There are lots of Christian Indigenes. ... In Chikanda town on the boundary with Benin republic, Christians even outnumber Muslims.
When you go to Benin republic, NIKKI town, which is the traditional headquarters of Bariba people in Benin and a stone throw from Nigeria, is almost 50-50!

It is the Bariba people in Borgu LGA of Niger state that are up to 90% Muslims, but never those in Kwara state.
There are lots of Baptist & Ecwa Christians among the Barubas.

As for the Nupes, you say only small number of Christians in Patigi and the same Patigi town, the christians outnumber the Muslims? What about Gbgugbu town (the 2nd largest in Patigi LGA)? It is also Christian majority!
Patigi LGA is around a 50-50! And it is no surprise because if you cross the boundary into Kogi state, you meet the Nupe speaking Kakanda people who are also 50-50!

Not even the Nupes in Niger state are up to 90% Muslims... Those ones are around 80% Muslims, while those in Kwara & Kogi are 50-65% Muslims, take it or leave it.

Kwara north is at most 70% muslim!.

See, if you look at Ilorin city, the capital today, you will see that Christians make up to 40% of Ilorin city!
Most of these Christians are from other parts of Kwara state, especially Kwara south! They have all left their villages to Ilorin. Then you also have lots of Okuns from Kogi west.

It is impossible for a state to be 80% Muslim and yet the state capital is almost looking like a 50-50, it is impossible!

And when I say Ilorin, I don't mean the old Ilorin where the Indigenes are.
The Ilorin of today has far far outgrown the old Ilorin town like 4-1 in size and infact, in most parts of the new Ilorin, Christians tend to almost outnumber Muslims!
Or are all these Christians all over Ilorin Igbo people? grin

You don't need to. A head slammer is always a head slammer grin

Kindly beg your fulani master's in Ilorin to free you from the hold of the caliphate and ginger your cowardly people to demand a merger with the Southwest.... Until then, you cannot tell other northerners not to talk about Kwara.
Do you see me meddling in Osun or Oyo state affairs?
I repeat in the north Central, after Abuja,Kwara is next, your violence ravaged plateau doesn't come close sef.

baba say they have up to 30 institutions, Hahaha
your backward state only has two mushroom u universities

https://www.4icu.org/ng/plateau/

while Kwara has Seven 7 solid universities

https://www.4icu.org/ng/kwara/a-z/
this is enough to rubbish your 30 mushrooms institutions you claimed LMAO.

according to NBS, Kwara has the least poverty index in the whole of northern Nigeria and the 9th lowest In the federation, above 4 south South states and 4 South East states, meanwhile your Plateau state is number 14th FROM THE BACK.. Hahaha.
Kwara generated the 4th biggest igr in northern Nigeria after Abuja, Kano and Kaduna, meanwhile your Plateau state as usual is always at the bottom of the table, LMAO.

you don't even have basic amenities like Mall, Cinemas, Clubs, Recreational centres in Plateau, these basic things are normal things in Kwara.

nasco abi wetin you call am again? shey people still dey eat nascos? FYI, the largest steel Industry in Nigeria after Ajaokuta is KAM, located in Ilorin,, this is far more valuable than your Nascos, or whatever.....

it's only a mad man that will put Jos/plateau in the same sentence with Ilorin/Kwara.

I repeat, after Abuja, Ilorin is next in North central , and in northern Nigeria at large.

Abuja
Kano
Kaduna
Ilorin
others
in that order.
and in terms of civilization
after Abuja, the next is Ilorin.
your state is too backward, no infrastructures, no basic social amenities, who would even set up social amenities where bandits can just invade at any time? Hahaha

Baba say he knows Iloffa and Omu-Aran very well, if not because of privacy, I would have reveal some vital informations about this places, these areas, namely, Ekiti, Isin, Oke-Ero and Irepodun...this is my base, my home.
I have the first class experience, Isin is like 95% Christians or more.
Oke-Ero, Iloffa is like 50-50, but the neighboring villages like Odo-Owa, Aiyedun, Ekan, Odofin are overwhelmingly Christian Villages, this will set Oke-Ero at 80% Christian , 20% Muslim
Ekiti too should be at least 70% Christians because Osi is Muslim town but others are Christian Villages.

these three LGAs, Isin, Ekiti and Oke-Ero are very small, their population is meagre.

now Irepodun should be 50-50 or slightly Muslim majority, the bigger towns like Omu-Aran, Oro, Ajase-ipo, Omupo are majority Christians, only the smaller towns are Christian towns like Oko, Aran orin, Roore, Igbaja.

You said you know Omu-Aran and Iloffa? right, Oya tell me the The villages that surround Iloffa and how to get to this villages from Iloffa.

we are talking about indeginous people only, a huge chunk of Ilorin population are people from Kabba and other Okun towns, Ogbomosho, Igala people, Igbo, because is quite cosmopolitan.

and lastly, I don't practice Islam, I have no reason to lie, I attend RCCG.
Ilorin west 99% Muslims
Ilorin east 99% Muslims
Ilorin South 99% Muslims
Asa 90-95% Muslims
Offa 80-85% Muslims
ifelodun at least 60%muslims
Irepodun at least 50% Muslims
Isin 5-10% Muslims
Ekiti 15-20 Muslims
Oke-Ero 20% Muslims or more.
Moro 90% Muslims
the 3 Ilorin LGA + Asa+Offa+Ifelodun has taken the whole Kwara population, others like Isin, Ekiti and Oke-Ero are very small, VERY SMALL.
I can't provide information for Oyun and the other four Northern district LGA but I know that Bariba and Nupe are overwhelmingly Muslims

the above is from my own estimation, only indigenous people.

Comparing a fulani conquered emirate town like Ilorin to Jos is laughable.

To show how much you are out of reality.
There are 4 universities in Jos.

Bingham University (School of Medicine and University teaching hospital) &
Karl Kumm University are located in Jos!

Here are other things Jos bury Ilorin with.

1) Police staff college (the only of its kind in Nigeria) is in Jos.
2) College of Accountancy (only of its kind in Nigeria).
3) National film Institute Jos (the first & biggest of its kind in Nigeria)
4) NTA college of journalism Jos (only of its kind)
5) National institute for policy & strategic studies (only of it's kind in Nigeria)

6) Jos wildlife park (the only intra city wildlife park in the whole West Africa).

There are 5 agricultural colleges in Jos!
Including the largest Animal health and Veterinary research institute and colleges in Nigeria....

Compare these institutions to those terrorist breeding Islamic universities you are listing in Ilorin.

Talking about Amenities, Bridges are collapsing in Ilorin, killing people anyhow

https://www.vanguardngr.com/2020/06/five-feared-dead-in-ilorin-as-bridge-collapses-in-downpour/amp/

Are these the amenities Ilorin has?

Meanwhile, there are 2 standard flyover bridges in Jos.

And when you are talking about recreation centers, do you have a natural water resort in Ilorin, like the Rayfield resort in Jos?
And tell me which recreational center in Ilorin is worth as much as the JOS WILDLIFE PARK (The only of it's kind in West Africa).

You think Jos is your mate abi?

If not your fulani terrorist master's that are terrorizing the entire country, do you know how much Jos will rake in from Tourism?

Don't worry, very soon the country will divide and you and your fulani emirate Ilorin and the Sokoto caliphate will be left alone to self destruct.

Jos is x2 bigger than Ilorin.

And Just for the records, NASCO is still the number 1 cereal company in Nigeria and it is a multi million dollar industry.
Likewise GRAND, who now dominate the Animal feed and groundnut oil industry in Nigeria.

ALSO, INTEGRATED DAIRIES LTD, the biggest dairy industry in Nigeria is located in Jos....The biggest producers of 100% Indigenously manufactured Yoghurt in Nigeria and not those Danish & Netherlands imported packaged HOLLANDIA yoghurts in the SW...

Beat that!

Bariba & Nupe people are predominantly Muslims, yes. But not overwhelmingly Muslims. There is a strong Christian minority in these places. Thank you, so take that 90% Muslim Kwara north out of your head, cos it doesn't exist.

According to you, Moro is 90% Muslim, yet there is a huge Christian population in Shao & Jebba (the 2 biggest towns in Moro LGA).

That's how u claimed Nupes are 95% Muslim in Kwara, and yet Christians are outnumbering Muslims in Patigi & Gbgugbu (the 2 biggest towns in the LGA).

The problem with you is that you judge majority population absolutely without giving strong details to minority population.
Well, I don't blame you, cos you have been trained, schooled and wired by your Fulani emirate leaders in Ilorin, who lie for a living using Islamic taqiyya.

Kwara south has 50% of the Indigenous population of Kwara state! And that is why it has 7 of the 16 LGAs of Kwara state. I even doubt if Kwara central (Ilorin Indigenes) can outnumber the Nupes, Barubas & Moro of Kwara north.

Apart from old Ilorin town, and the few mushroom towns of Asa, can you list the other Ilorin Indigenous towns and and let us compare them in number with the Indigenous towns of Kwara north??

And don't give me that Ilorin population bullshit, cos the majority of people in Ilorin city are not Ilorin emirate Indigenes. They come from all over Kwara state.

Kwara south with half of the Indigenes of Kwara state is 50-50 or even slightly Christian majority (60% Christian) cos only Offa & Erin-Ile have a clear Muslim majority Indigenes.
Now let us assume that Ifelodun & Irepodun are 50/50, are you telling me that Offa & Erin Ile Indigenes will outnumber Oyun, Isin, Ekiti & Oke-ero Indigenes? Hell no!

Offa is the 2nd largest town in Kwara state, and as such it is also fairly cosmopolitan!
Offa Indigenes cannot make up more than 50% of the town's population and that is why the number of churches in Offa will outnumber the number of mosques by a wide margin.

So, just like you made the same mistake with Ilorin population, do not ascribe the entire population of Offa town to Offa Indigenes and claim it is 80% Muslim, hell no!
Abi all those Aladura, Cele, CAC oke Igbala churches all over Offa are being attended by Igbos settlers? grin

And just for the records, the largest non Yoruba, non Kwara settlers in Ilorin city are the Ebira people. Ebiras not Igalas. Ebiras were part of Kwara state for 25 years before Kogi state was created. They even produced the governor of Kwara at a time.
Igalas were only part of Kwara state for 9 years and were transferred to Benue state.
Even after Kogi state was created, Ebiras kept on migrating to Ilorin, because Igalas turned Lokoja govt houses to their private estate, as they dominated the civil service and everything in the state.

So you can see the Irony,. Ebira people are even a Muslim majority people, yet with all their immigration to Ilorin and your fictional grandiose of Ilorin, Offa, Ifelodun, Nupe & Bariba Muslim population, yet Christians are almost dragging population with Muslims in Ilorin city! grin

If you are a very sensitive person, you will notice that something is not adding up here! Are Christians being imported to Ilorin city?? cheesy

Even if we say it is immigration from other Yoruba parts of the SW. Oyo & Osun states are the neighbouring states to Kwara and both states have the highest Muslim population in Yoruba land. So something is not adding up.

Ilorin city has so many Christians because the huge population of Christians who have left their villages from Kwara south and who you ignore, have all moved to stay in Ilorin.
The 2nd largest group of Christians in Ilorin of course, the Okun people from Kogi west.

So if you claim Kwara state is 80% Muslim as your fulani leader in Ilorin told you, can you kindly explain to the world, how come Christians make up to 40% in Ilorin city? Thank you.

Beat that!

The problem with Nasarawa started in OLD PLATEAU STATE!

Plateau Christians wanted to carry the muslim minorities along in everything cos we never knew these people were evil.
Then in old Plateau state, every deputy appointment was meant for Lower Plateau (Nasarawa) people and it was always given to a muslim.
It's not as if Muslims were more in lower Plateau, but just for the sake of carrying everybody along.

So by the time Nasarawa state was created, all the big shots in the state were Muslims! They formed a muslim clique (led by Abdullahi Adamu) and since then vowed that by hook or crook, a Christian will never rule Nasarawa state.

You know your history....very correct explanation.

Lol. That Nowenuse of a thing is one of the strongest religious bigot I’ve ever known and I am sure he is a Christian terrorist.

I’ve always felt some sort of pity for the victims of religious fights in the North that are Christians but with people like Nowenuse I changed my stance on that and I finally conclude that there are lot of Christian bigot in that North and probably they all kill each other (Muslim and Christian) like games and none of them deserve any pity from sane minds.

If Nowenuse have the chance to acquire ammunition, he will be far worse than the dreaded Boko Haram judging by the amount of hate in his heart.

Nice that you put him in his place by telling him to steer clear of Kwara when talking about his religious bullshit, the Yorubas have told these people times without number that we are one irrespective of religious identity. If you like be Ifa, Muslim, Christian, and etc., we all see each other under the cultural mirror first.

If you like be Ifa, Muslim, Christian, and etc., we all see each other under the cultural mirror first.

his so bitter and frustrated that there is no political and religious tension in kwarra state .. they don't like the fact that both religion are living in harmony

his angry that u guys have refused to be used as pawns against the north/muslims

Cc LukasPodolski

Hahahahaha, I like the fact that you think of me as a bigot. It's a thing of pride for me grin

There is no religious tension in Jos. What happened in the past was Hausa' fulani land grabbers being shown their place.

Besides, since I am the devil and the founder of all religious problems, I guess I was also the one who attacked Christians and burnt churches in Ilorin town times without number grin

So much for a people living in peace.
Peace that only comes when Christians are attacked, they keep quiet and everyone continues to worship and follow the Fulani emirs.

Thanks but I'll pass.

this forum opened my eyes to so many things, and one of these things is religion views of Nigerians.

some people think they're more flagship because of their religion, easterners and northerners are really not different when it comes to religion tolerance.

these attributes are more like culture shock to me.

Mr Nowenuse said Religion is the identity of Northern Nigeria people, I still don't understand what he meant by that, I can't relate with that.

he's one hell of a religion extremist, he should steer clear of Kwara state, everything is good here...

limit your activism to plateau, you don't cause problem where there is none.

AS FOR THE RELIGION PART, I DON'T WANT TO ARGUE FURTHER, BECAUSE RELIGION IS NOT OUR IDENTITY IN KWARA STATE, WE ARE YORUBA BEFORE RELIGION..SO I WON'T GO FURTHER.
there is no point in arguing further, since we are one.

Christians + Muslims + traditional worshippers = United Yoruba..

so stay away from Kwara state, if you don't want your family to perish, that if plateau crisis hasn't kill them sef, I believe half of your family must have died due to plateau Crisis...
Thank you and bye bye.
There is an assumed peace in Kwara because you guys surrendered to Fulani domination. All that will evaporate when you wake up and attempt to put an end to that.
Jos is fighting against Fulani Invaders and subjugation.

You conveniently refuse to admit that salient fact that the other guy ( Nowenuse ) is trying to make you understand.
No peace in surrender.

BTW, as an Edoman, I HAVE NO DOG IN THIS FIGHT.

Will you keep quiet?

Who surrendered to Fulanis? That's how useless people like you spread falsehood.

Which other town apart from Ilorin is being ruled by Fulanis? Tell me

since democracy, all the governors are Yoruba

1999-2003 ------ Muhammed Alabi Lawal Yoruba

2003-2011 ---- Bukola Saraki Yoruba

2011-2019---- Abdulfatah Ahmed Yoruba

2019 ---- AbdulRahman Abdulrasaq Yoruba

So how did Yoruba people surrendered to Fulanis, The emir of Ilorin doesn't have any power over towns in Kwara south.

There is no presence of fulani in Ilorin to start with.

Were you expecting Kwarans to start killing themselves because of a mere traditional title, so we should turn Kwara to Jos, a battle ground..

Most of you guys are oloriburuku, I mean confirm oloriburuku.

The Fulanis are not the ones ruling Kwara. Get that to your empty skull

Igalas are actually like 60-65% Christian, while Okuns are like 90% Christian.
Only 1 town in Okun land is muslim majority.

Ebira Christians are up to 35% (among the Taos).

Omolewa Ahmed was even a Deaconess.
the current one two is a Christian (though I don't know much about her)

this is how we roll in Kwara state and Yorubaland at large, we view ourselves as Yoruba and Human being before any foreign Religion

so don't take your activism to kwara, it's good here, unless you want Ogun to kill you.

thank you
This is lovely. I wish the entire country can be this tolerant

Bros you can’t be boasting with the cosmopolitan population of Ilorin saying one polling booth there will cover entire townships in Kwara south and yet in the same breath be re-iterating that the city is 90% muslim.

Ilorin that I know today is not even 70% muslim talk more of a whole 90!

You either talk about just the native and their average populace or the city as a whole with its huge population but also in all its diversity. Don’t contradict yourself.

Nowenuse:

The first governor of Nasarawa state (Abdullahi Adamu) was actively supported by SOLOMON LAR, cos he was Solomon Lar's former deputy governor in old Plateau state and close friend.

Solomon Lar (the old godfather of Plateau state) supported Abdullahi Adamu over his rival SOLOMON EWUGA!
And that was how a Plateau man foolishly stamped in Muslim domination on Nasarawa state.

Immediately Adamu became governor, he swore that over his dead body for a christian to rule Nasarawa state.

And Adamu is an Afo man, go to Afo villages and towns all over Keffi & Nasarawa LGAs, and count the number of Christians & Muslims, Christians clearly outnumber Muslims 70-30!

Apart from the Egbura people in Toto LGA, no other indigenous ethnic group of Nasarawa state is muslim majority among the about 30 ethnic groups that make up Nasarawa state.
The Egburas are not even the majority in Toto LGA, the Bassas who are the majority there are 95% Christian.

So, yes, it is true!
No LGA in Nasarawa state is muslim majority, it doesn't exist, but meanwhile, there are LGAs like Karu, Akwanga, Kokona & Nass Eggon that are up to 90% Christian.
oh my God you are absolutely correct

My problem with the egon people was that, immediately these hausa fulani invades their communities, they gave them lands and allow them to marry their daughters. When they achieved this, the started claiming ownership of the state. Nasarawa, benue, plateau, Abuja, Kogi, adamawa, borno, taraba, Niger, Kaduna are heavily populated by a good number of indigenous Christians
