Well Northerners (Hausa-fulanis) are by far more brotherly towards the Niger people than they are towards fellow Nigerians.

That’s why they are considered chiefly by PMB in the government policies and scheme of things in Nigeria.

Those guys even came to campaign for PMB during the last presidential elections.

IF the customs were doing 1/10th of its job, Nigeria would have been way more safer. The number of weapons that seeps through the borders: Benin, Niger, Chad, Cameroon, no be here. This is the main source of the bandits violence. Jobless youths but available guns. What do you expect.

Sincerely, I think just like Nigeria ceeded Bakassi Peninsula to Cameroon although we would have loved to keep them cos they were peaceful, Nigeria should please strongly consider ceding the North to Niger Republic.

Doing that will ensure the rest of the country starting from North Central downwards to the south will once again live peacefully.

Benin Republic (with some yoruba roots) and Ghana are not militaristic neighbours and are desirable to have solid ties with. They have no landgrabbing or Sharia agenda, and we can gain much economically from each other.

Niger Republic (with Hausa-Fulani) ties on the other hand is a direct opposite of everything I wrote up there. Give 'em one meter, they'll forcefully demand ten kilometers. The only trans-border profit to Nigeria is terrorist, bandits, herdsmen and guns and ammunition influx.

It's sad.
