Match is ongoing right now and it's still in the first half (about 28mins). It's LIVE on AIT and Nigeria is leading 2-0.

Is anyone watching?

So there is no one in Nigeria that can stream these games live for people to watch online. Since Nigeria played Madagascar in Calabar, Sierra Leone in Lagos, those games are yet to be seen anywhere online. Indeed shameful.
Re: Nigeria Vs Equatorial Guinea [London 2012 Olympic Qualifier: Ends 5-0] by semid4lyfe(m): 4:56pm On Mar 26, 2011
Goals were scored by Odion Ighalo, Lukman Haruna and Nosa Igiebor in that order.

Re: Nigeria Vs Equatorial Guinea [London 2012 Olympic Qualifier: Ends 5-0] by semid4lyfe(m): 5:23pm On Mar 26, 2011
Team is being captained by Lukman Haruna and he's also taking all our set pieces.

So far Nigeria is cruising. . .hope we can win by as much as 5 goals to make the return leg a mere formality

Ekhigo Ehiosun is coming in for injured Odion Ighalo who's been stretchered off. . . .
Re: Nigeria Vs Equatorial Guinea [London 2012 Olympic Qualifier: Ends 5-0] by semid4lyfe(m): 5:30pm On Mar 26, 2011
GOAL!!!

It's 4 nil.

A sweeping move from the right side that led to that shot that resulted in the 4th goal by Nosa Igiebor
Re: Nigeria Vs Equatorial Guinea [London 2012 Olympic Qualifier: Ends 5-0] by semid4lyfe(m): 5:44pm On Mar 26, 2011
Rabiu Ibrahim in for Obiora Nwankwo. . . .12large suppose throw party grin grin

Jeez! Nnamdi Oduamadi is a baller. .did anyone see what he did to that E.Guinea defender (no 5)  in the box 18?

He gave him leg over, dribbled him, the defender fell and deliberately handled the ball on the ground resulting in a penalty to Nigeria

Off course, that Buffoon, Lukman Haruna ballooned the ball and lost the penalty,
Re: Nigeria Vs Equatorial Guinea [London 2012 Olympic Qualifier: Ends 5-0] by yoged(m): 6:11pm On Mar 26, 2011
nigeria won by 5goals to nil, goals from ighalo, haruna, lukman, nosa igiebor in d 1st half. in d second half, 2 goals from nosa igiebor and ehiosun, oduamadi of a c millan was so superb at the left wing,
Re: Nigeria Vs Equatorial Guinea [London 2012 Olympic Qualifier: Ends 5-0] by semid4lyfe(m): 6:22pm On Mar 26, 2011
Match ended 5 nil in favour of Nigeria.
NB - I didn't see the 5th goal cos NEPA took light like 2/3 minutes to the end of the match but I heard it was scored by Ekhigo Ehiosun grin

To summarize. . . .

Overall, very good bunch of players relying more on individual skills and playing less as a team. Eguavoen needs to get the players to play with more cohesion, and play for each other.

This is looking like another dream team if they can get their acts together. All the players oozed class, skill  & confidence and E.Guinea did not trouble Nigeria at all and was clearly no match. I was most impressed by Nnamdi Oduamadi. . .the guy's leg over tap pass Robinho own sef and the guy really dazzled the defender on his wing and generally caused problems for the opponents defence down that wing but again maybe na becos that defender nor good lol grin

On a side note, I hope Siasia watched today's game cos some of the players that featured today are good enough to play for the Super Eagles. Peeps like Nosa Igiebor, Nurudeen Orelesi, Obiora Nwankwo, Edet Obot are ripe to play for the Senior National team IMO.

Nigeria played a 4-4-2 formation today and the starting eleven were:

Goalkeeper - Dele Ajiboye,
Defence - Edet Obot, Kingsley Udoh, Terna Suswan, Nurudeen Orelesi
Midfield - Lukman Haruna, Obiora Nwankwo, Nosa Igiebor, Nnamdi Oduamadi
Attack - Daniel Uchechi and Odion Ighalo.

Ekhigo Ehiosun, Rabiu Ibrahim and a third player I can't recall his name came in as substitutes for Nigeria

The Samuel Ogbemudia stadium pitch in Benin is very lush and green. . . .but what's with the sudden craze for astro/artificial turfs (pitches) in Naija? Football is better played on Natural grass nah undecided

All in all, a good game and the return leg should be a mere formality.

Congrats to the U-23 team and Coach Austin Eguavoen.

On to the next one now -  Super Eagles vs Ethiopia tomorrow cool. . . .

Great result, I didn't see the game though. I would have loved to see Nnamdi Oduamadi because I was wondering why Siasia would call up a player that has made only one late substitutute appearance for AC Milan all season.
The return leg is only academic now.

This is shamefull in a situation majority of nigerians can not watch their national team live. How many state is Ait signa receivable? Our football admin should find solution to this situation. Football is one of our unifying factor and without majority viewing this match the interest of majority will be affected.

Good result.

At least I can support Nigeria in this particular age-grade competition because our cheating has little impact.

You are complaining. This is one of the many ways in which PDP has destroyed Nigeria making life difficult for Nigerians. Vote Buhari/Bakare make things change you say why? That na d answer. If you want to enjoy life, enjoy the simple things of life, live life in safety then VOTE BUHARI/BAKARE.
