To worsen matters for Nigeria, we are no longer talking about how we can develop but how to survive insecurity and debilitating poverty. At the pace we are retrogressing, we will never catch up instead we will continue to get worse until we start fighting ourselves to death.

Nigeria is akin to a 30 year old man in JS3.
A complete and utter disgrace! embarassed

Nigeria with all her wealth is nothing but a huge shame.

Criminals always are the ones ruling this country.

....because criminals make up a larger percentage of the population.

You will do worse if given the opportunity.

Nigeria's problem is fundamental, foundational and systemic.

The class of 1966 destroyed Nigeria.. The Babangidas, the danjumas, the Obasanjos, the buharis, the Abachas.... That group is evil, full of vile, hatred and violence! Take them out of the equation and watch Nigeria start a slow movement towards progress! The biggest mistake we made this democratic term was to start with these same hoodlums again! Compare Obasanjo vs Yaradua.., then Buhari vs Jonathan! You can see the difference in style, compassion and motives... That class of 1966 woke up one morning and started killing their friends for power. They have managed to corner power with the help of foreign powers ever since but they absolutely can't do no good with power! Why? You can't give what you don't have...

Why do we blacks love to sit back and play blame game without offering any fucking solution? If you know what the fucking problem is, act nigga! Heaven helps those who help themselves. I've seen people blame Lugard, blame Zik, blame Awo, blame everybody. But no solution. Why?!

Even if Nigeria had gotten her independence in 1856, the same problem you are complaining about will still happen in 2020

For all those who know history.

Multiculturalism does not work because people will keep fighting each other instead of building their nation

This is the issue..

That is why Europe carefully planned her sovereign states o.

So getting independence early created corruption.

Why do black people you like slavery

So if they ask you if you’re free from slavery today as a Nigerian just because you got some stupid ‘independence’ in 1960, you’ll say yes?

Nice point but South Africa is not Nigeria

Juliusmalema:
With People/Person's like JuliusMalema, Why won't south Africa be the anchor and pride of west Africa..

They are constructive opposition who understands that Governance is about the people and nation at large. They are not moved by mere tribal affiliations but all they need is better and prosperous south Africa...

Their citizens first before others...

Can such be said of Nigeria where Invaders from Niger Republic, Benin republic, Togo and Chad including Mali are the ones running affairs of the country. All thanks to divided loyalty...

The president is not a nigeria same as most Governors drawn from north and western part of this their country called Nigeria.

Well, we remain proud and happy for our dear country Southern Africa as she will continue to move from strength to strength, no wonder it was referred to as the rainbow nation...

The country founded on solid principle by Mbeki, Mandela, Oliver and hosts of others...

IS SOUTH AFRICA STILL SAFE FOR A NIGERIAN MIGRANT?

Maybe for a student to go there for study to get a degree.

The disturbing news throughout 2019 was the news of XENOPHOBIC ATTACK.

Are the Zulus still on the hunt for Nigerians coming to South Africa?

Like Williams Uchemba said, it is not until you travel out of the country you will realize how underdeveloped Nigeria is. You will think you were born and raised in hell. South Africa is on the same African continent as well as Namibia,Algeria,Morocca and Tunisia.

Notice all the countries you mentioned have a decent populous of white people there - this is why those countries are developed.

There is something seriously wrong with the black race embarassed

The white settlers in South Africa developed the country, with total commitment, as their own home and not the way the British developed Nigeria half-heartedly. But that's not an excuse for the failures that have been ruling Nigeria since independence.

The reason why Nigeria will never develop is our heterogenous nature society. People are not patriotic to Nigeria but to their tribe and religion. Nigeria can never work.

This is not true
Even homogeneous countries are upside down in many parts of the world
Even here in Africa

The main problem with Nigeria is OUR REFUSAL to forge a common interest
Black folks in general are intellectually handicapped in that respect

I laugh when people compare Nigeria with SA. Lol, they have their ugly sides o. Normal, every country does. But we must give it to SA. That country tried to sustain what it started. Some of her cities will compete with some European cities.
