Why do we blacks love to sit back and play blame game without offering any fucking solution? If you know what the fucking problem is, act nigga! Heaven helps those who help themselves. I've seen people blame Lugard, blame Zik, blame Awo, blame everybody. But no solution. Why?!
I don't make excuses, I give you facts.. it's a long story, otherwise I will break these things down.. I stand with what I said. The ethnic politics and massive corruption that ruined Nigeria started with these guys. Before them, there were tribal issues in government. There were corruption cases but it was always the issue of ten percent.. Now we are talking of budget padding and funding of fake local governments! We are talking of herdsmen maiming millions while a president speaks in tongues..The military guys saw Nigeria as personal fiefdom and did their best to control the nations politics by playing one group against the other. Solutions? There is no thread on Nigerias politics here that is not full of solutions! Nigerians are not different human beings! Put the right leadership in place and changes will occur.

The reason why Nigeria will never develop is our heterogenous nature society. People are not patriotic to Nigeria but to their tribe and religion. Nigeria can never work.

WRONG
People only care about themselves

Buhari is president and the north is in turmoil
If he had his people interest at heart
He would have stemmed the tide

Tinubu has rendered the futures of many young men in the south west hopeless and useless with his penchant for thuggery and kleptomania

Look at the Niger Delta
The militants and traditional leaders have settled themselves
The larger society can burn to ashes if they like

Then the South East ?
Or I Uzor Kalu and co dont care about the igbo people
If sending us to the slaughter is what will make them become "igbo president "
These dinwits will do it gladly
Look at Unahi

Multiculturalism or tribalism is just an excuse

Apart from bad governance, even the weather here no work, extreme sun that can fry you, harmattan dusts that makes everywhere untidy and unfresh, our rivers and seas are so dirty and unattractive unlike other sparkling blue waters abroad. every thing is against us, nature, mosquitoes. Apple or strawberry cant even grow here. Sunrise or sunset is unattractive in this country, Its not even possible to surf in the water at beaches becos mammy water fit hijack u, its only in this country that ive heard that a mother hen will have the effontry to chase a fully grown man

You are right but it's the duty of the dominant political elite to continuously skew the behavioral trends of any given society towards progressive paths... If you have political dunderheads like Buhari in charge, he will continuously aggravate the whole problem. That's the issue. That group is responsible for bringing out everyone that has ruled and ruined Nigeria since 1966. No Nigerian president has assumed power without their support.. Their refusal to set strong laws against tribalism, corruption and political brigandage is the reason why those are the norms in nigeria today.. You need power to effect such changes and they are the custodians of maximum power in Nigeria..

Any foolish Igbo/Biafra person that visits South Africa and came out crying about the state of the zoo is more idiot as can assume. The fool called Williams Uchemba should know that the only answer to replicate what he saw in South Africa is Biafra and should start immediately to support the restoration of Biafra. How should knowing this fact be a ticket science to any sane human being?

Nigeria was given independence on a platter of gold, no major antagonistic neighbors, good relations with the UK and commonwealth as well as a strong currency. Nigeria was respected throughout the world but now it's a joke.

We were given independence just as a valuable resource was discovered and rather than use it to make the country the America of Africa they hoarded more than they could ever spend in a thousand lifetimes and allowed the country to rot.

I am glad that oil is slowly losing value so these lifeless donkeys in power won't be getting money for sitting on their asses.

I laugh when people compare Nigeria with SA. Lol, they have their ugly sides o. Normal, every country does. But we must give it to SA. That country tried to sustain what it started. Some of her cities will compete with some European cities.

We can't even sustain what the colonists left for us sef, You just need to watch history of Nigeria from olden days. My brother, you will shade tears about how far we have regressed. We can't even sustain infrastructures from that era. Our area of immense development is corruption and population!

In 1960, Dubai, UAE was a desert, but today? A luxury tourist destination.

In 1960, we were even better than UAE but today we are worst.

The difference is good leadership of UAE and bad leadership of Nigeria.

Idiots still support failures you call "leaders"

Nigeria is finished. None of the infrastructures left by the colonial masters are still with us o. Go to Algeria and see how they uplifted the infrastructures their colonial masters left for them.

See eh, the countries Nigeria can compete with are some of the war thorn countries and extremely poor countries.

All we do is loot and loot and make babies.

The bulk of Nigeria problem is not its leadership, but its citizen.
The citizen that will expect a contractor to 'settle' the community before constructing a road for the community...
The citizen that sells his vote for 5k, with the belief that the election has been rigged anyway...
The citizen that expects you to 'settle' before your file leaves his table to the next...
The citizen that expects that the Government ought to do EVERYTHING for them...
The citizen that believes that once any political appointee is from the area, the political appointee cannot do any wrong...

We are our own problem and we get the leaders we deserve.

Start by changing the people and the leaders will have no choice but to change

Even if Nigeria had gotten her independence in 1856, the same problem you are complaining about will still happen in 2020

For all those who know history.

Multiculturalism does not work because people will keep fighting each other instead of building their nation

India is multicultural, America is multicultural, Canada is multicultural, Brazil is multicultural even the bloody Roman and Persian empires of 2000 years ago were multicultural but they had functioning governments.

Isn't it embarrassing that a nation that died over a thousand years ago with no modern technology or means of communication had better city planning and plumbing 2000 years ago than a nation that is 60 years old?

So getting independence early created corruption.

Why do black people you like slavery

As fela sang. We had constant electricity but after we got independence and built kianji dam. No more light.
Question is do you personally think Nigeria would have been better or worse off if the British had remained here untill the 90ties just as they did in South Africa?

Our environment is not that atracious... We have simply refused to beutify the environment. Look at our road constructions.. very untidy. No walk ways in our streets. It's a failure of policy on related areas and not a problem caused by nature

That means there can't be a difference even if Nigeria break into smaller Countries. In addition, I just got to know of recent that citizens (especially the religious ones) are worse than people in government. So if we change the crop of leaders we have now, we may be going from frying pan to fire.

What do you think can bring about a positive change to Nigeria?
