If Nigeria legalizes Cannabis, Neighboring African nations will grow them at an industrial scale and sell them to you Nigerians, turning swaths of jobless youths into useless zombie like addicts and psychopaths. And I know your African neighbors will do a good job of growing them since they are only prolific when it comes to the Evil Negative Industries such as selling small arms, organizing theft of your cattle that result in the killing of your farmers, women and children in the process; spreading fake news from their troll houses etc. they’ll also be good at it because some Western nations will invest heavily since there is a history of making good profit by turning black people into drug addicts. And, no, Cannabis isn’t benign and harmless.

Charmingrascal:
They should legalize it
We have to diversify our economy
We have to create jobs for entrepreneurs.

If weed is legalize I know how to make weed candy and snacks.

You don't necessarily have to smoke it, smoking is harmful.

Take weed candy and snacks you will still feel good and irie.

I will train many youths how to make safe weed candy free of charge, but now that weed is criminalized I can't even tell anyone that I know how to make those things talk more of train people.

I'm in bro. when the time comes.

They want to legalise IGBO so that more useless individuals can litter our environment. They just want to make youths more unproductive so that they can continue to render them more useless. The man footing the bill must first introduce the Indian helm to his first born then we will know how productive this Indian helm is to the society. Very disgusting set of individuals calling themselves honourable.

legalising weed doesn't mean it's a must for everyone, do u even know how much income the US, Canada, Netherlands government makes from cannabis sells alone

Good move.. People consume and sell it illegally. The NDLEA guys seize and sell it back. It's a waste of time trying to say it shouldn't be legalized

This is what happens when you have a real gee as a member of the house. Many countries are generating millions of dollars from the sale of cannabis, cannabis recipes cookbooks and cannabis meds. I don't understand why oil and gas should be getting the whole attention while there are myriad of money generating avenues that have been left unattended.

Who said weed is bad? As a matter of fact, below are what you stand to gain as a cannabis' consumer:

1) Marijuana helps in weight regulation because it helps to regulate insulin production in body.
2) Body weight and diabetes is related, as Marijuana it helps in regulating insulin hence it also prevent and regulate Diabetes.
3) It is been researched and evidences proves that cannabis fights certain cancers.
4) Dealing with depression is one of the major breakthroughs with Marijuana. Certain compounds derived from marijuana helps curing depression.
5) Cannabis is a blessing for Autism — a rare human disorder. It helps in control of sudden change in mood.
6) Cannabis is a substitute of alcohol and drugs can help patients searching for rehabilitation to control their addictive behavior under doctor’s supervision.
7) Medical cannabis is helpful in regulating seizures. It is been researched and accepted as a treatment for seizure patients.
8. Cannabis helps broken bones heal faster.
9) Cannabis is a better substitute for medications like Ritalin or Adderall in ADHD or ADD cases.
10) Cannabis known as a cure to manage anxiety disorders.
11) Marijuana is known to give relief in Sclerosis, most notably the tremors, spasms, and pain.
12) It also helps in treating eating disorders like Bulimia and Anorexia.
13) Cannabis compounds like THC and other cannabinoids are used in arthritis cream and Balms.
14) Cannabis is also a metabolism regulator, helps in dealing with metabolic disorders and actually improves it to make it better and healthier.
15) Cannabis can’t really cure AIDS/HIV directly but it helps to give associated pain relief and aches.
16) Cannabis can be a treatment for people suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorders.

So why is it illegal while cigarette which is 200x more harmful is left legalized?

Nigeria is already suffering from many ills aside political misgovernance(violent crimes, child molestation, domestic abuses, insurgency, prostitution etc) that are compounded by economic depression, worsening mental state, increasing frustration & resort to substance abuse (which also include drugs) and gun-running.

Even regulatory agencies like NAFDAC, NSCDC,Customs,
etc in our airports, rail stations, borders & within are finding it increasingly difficult to exert control let alone stem the tide of illicit drug abuse.So why cant the HOR part of NASS legislate on how to reduce cost of governance by;

-Severely cutting on their over-bloated pay or merging into a unicameral legislation,
-Reducing the numbers of govt MDAs witj multiplicity of functions consuming the budget.
-Proscribing the death sentencing for convicted corruption either by "harikira" ,hanging, electrocution, or firing squad among many?

Instead they are rather wanting to be anti-people in compounding the woes on ground by choosing to legalize Marijuana of all things? This is an explosive disaster waiting.

What is the benefit of keeping marijuana illegal?

Marijuana is a plant with numerous benefits. It's boost creativity and only abuse causes damage just like beer and other food substances.

I support the legalisation of weed. After all, At some point in history alcohol was prohibited.
