University Of Maiduguri Issues Stay At Home Notice To All Staff by Insidenaija: 7:46pm On Dec 30, 2020
Following the second wave of COVID-19 in Nigeria, management of University of Maiduguri has ordered all senior staff to remain at home till further notice, Insidenaija reports.

This was contained in a statement received by school management from the National Universites Commission with Reference No: NUC/ES/138/VOL.63/151 dated 23rd December 2020, and therefore directed all Senior Staff on CONTISS 12 and below to stay at home for a period of 5 weeks with effect from Wednesday, 23rd December, 2020.

The management however, enjoyed all the Senior Staff to resume office on Thursday, 28th January, 2021.

This according to the school, this is to mitigate the second wave of the pandemic, while those on CONTISS 13 and above should strictly adhere to the extent preventive measures.

All the Units on essential services (University Medical Center, Fire Service, Security Personnel, Radio house, those in charge of electricity and water supply) are all excempted for the stay at home directive.
